Super accoglienza e disponibilità, ci hanno accolti alle 22, in un giorno appena dopo le feste. Abbiamo preso due primi di pesce, tutto molto buono e anche ottimo rapporto qualità- prezzo. Consigliatissimo

Delicious pizza, very friendly staff, average prices

We returned after some time, very convinced of finding the same spirit of good taste and hospitality, but... alas we found everything changed, from the beautiful warm and welcoming restaurant, we found a place dedicated to tourism, the location always beautiful, but they make us sit like tourists, in the middle of the street... welcoming us with coldness and detachment, they bring us a menu that is already poor when reading... we order and after a while the first courses arrive and an appetizer. the smell and the sight... says it all... to say the least... shabby and messed up... spoiled, the first courses don't deserve a ranking... the fish-based appetizer... which I don't know when it was stored in the fridge. Inedible. Not to mention the prices which are not affordable, on the contrary... far from it... but aware... but. everything continues in this style... I say... do you want to do mass cooking? Ok..touristy,? The tourist passes and goes away...but we locals...come back...like we did...but after this performance...who passes by anymore!!! Not even from the street..you get lost for a dish...yes, because you think the customer doesn't understand, or you hoped so..but this time it went badly...!!!.It's not done like that....you miss of professionalism and respect, the only thing you could do was apologize from the owner... but not even that.....😔😪 too bad..

Gladly again! The Montecarlo restaurant is located in the old town on the island of Ortigia in Syracuse and was recommended to us. Since it was raining, we had to sit inside. It's relatively simple, but still comfortable. The service was friendly, quick and accommodating. We really enjoyed our starters, mussels in tomato sauce and the squid salad. The highlight, however, was the Zuppa di Pesce. She was buonissimo! Add a well-chilled white wine and then, if you wanted, an Amaro. It was a completely successful visit and we enjoyed it very much despite the bad weather.

Highly recommended. Clean, well-kept and elegant environment. Excellent quality and fresh food. Whatever you order in this place you can never go wrong. From pizza to fish it is all delicious and prepared with great care and attention. Very abundant dishes. Excellent desserts.

A real surprise! Located in one of the characteristic streets of Ortigia, it also offers its customers a good pizza. His dishes should not be considered "touristy" but truly "typical", as they retain that flavor and intensity of flavor of the olive, caper, garlic, anchovy or oregano typical of true Sicilian cuisine! In short, a true SICILIAN restaurant with a cuisine that does not wink at the customer by putting "less flavor" in the dishes to please the average tourist. As usual, I asked the owner to surprise me with the best of what he had in the kitchen, and that I had neither problems with allergies and intolerances, nor even problems with those intense flavors typical of true Sicilian cuisine. Well. Both the starters, first courses and second courses were incredible, with the flavors I expected and was looking for. The flavors and aromas of Ortigia will always remind me. The prices are average, I would say fair and the menu is clear and well explained by the staff. Unmissable place.
