We had lunch in Racalmuto, the birthplace of Leonardo Sciascia and the birthplace of Gaetano Savatteri, where we took a bus trip on a beautiful Sunday in April. It's truly a rich town for tourism, because you'd never imagine a place with just 7,500 inhabitants has so much to tell and see. Lo Zenzero Restaurant was once a favorite haunt of actors and singers who performed at the beautiful Teatro Regina Margherita, just steps from the restaurant. Our assessment of the lunch was positive, and the owner, Mr. Andrea, and his young staff deserve encouragement, because those who stay in town and don't emigrate to find work elsewhere demonstrate courage and a desire to succeed despite the myriad difficulties faced by the people of this land... Thanks to Mr. Andrea, his wife who prepared the meal, and the girls who served us at the tables with kindness and great availability! Warm greetings from Alcamo!
