A short distance from the Church of San Gerardo, in Materdomini, we chose "Lo Spigolo" for dinner. The restaurant is simple and spartan, the service quick and efficient. I recommend starting with the house antipasto, consisting of several delicious dishes, especially the potato flans with dried peppers, mushrooms, and cod. The pizza is excellent, fragrant, with a light crust and flavorful ingredients. The desserts are delicious, both the struffoli and the millefeuille with black cherry and Chantilly cream. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

We had lunch here. The fettuccine with ragù was good but the portions were quite small. The veal steak was really good and tender, as were the sausages. The escarole was simple but very tasty. The place was clean and tidy, and the service was very friendly and helpful. The price was quite good for the quality of the products and the selection, with simple, traditional flavors.

The place is truly beautiful, well-kept, and in a perfect location: the ambiance is definitely one of the restaurant's strong points. The food was good, although I wasn't particularly impressed. As for the service, it would be nice to see it be a little more friendly, with more of a smile and a willingness to welcome customers. However, I found the wait times a bit too long. Overall, it was a decent experience, but with some improvements, it could be truly excellent.

A historic restaurant in the center of Materdomini, a hamlet of Caposele, a town steeped in water and faith. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes, including "matasse" (stuffed pasta) and cod "alla perticaregna" (salted cod), as well as other specialties typical of the Irpinia region. Friendly service and prompt service are other highlights of this restaurant, just meters from the Sanctuary of San Gerardo.
