We didn't like it. The first course was bland orecchiette, the lamb tough. The appetizer was only decent. Luckily, they didn't charge us for the first course we didn't eat. We won't be returning.

A unique culinary experience. Nestled in a spectacular setting, this restaurant is truly a gem. We ordered an exquisite charcuterie and cheese platter, complemented by a rustic tart and some truly delicious hot antipasti, where the quality of the ingredients was undeniable. We continued with orecchiette with truffle, porcini mushrooms, and walnuts, and fresh pasta with wild arugula pesto, stracciatella, crusco mortadella, and chopped pistachios. Our second course was pork stew with purple potato chips, chestnut honey, and blueberry jam. And to finish, a salted caramel gelato by pastry chef Vito was truly out of this world. The staff is so attentive and kind; you can tell they're passionate about their work. Just looking at the photo, you can see the attention and care, but above all, the deliciousness of what we tasted. We'll be back soon!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, just steps from the beautiful scenery of the lakes and their views. The restaurant's location, immersed in greenery, offers a unique tranquility, where the aroma of food blends with the chirping of birds and the freshness of the vegetation. In my pleasant experience, I found everything delicious, carefully prepared and flavorful, to please the palate. I was able to enjoy local products in all their forms. Compliments to Mrs. Colucci (the chef), who expertly prepares excellent food cooked according to tradition, bringing out the true flavors of Lucania. The dishes are generous, the appetizers very flavorful with well-chosen tastings, the first courses very good, I'd say excellent, and the second courses are cooked to order and flavorful. The staff is always attentive to customer requests, with great courtesy and calmness, which sometimes doesn't hurt when you're sitting at a table. The desserts they prepared were very good. At the end, I stood up to ask for the bill and deliberately asked for the chef, who was the owner, Mrs. Colucci. I congratulated her on all the excellent food she prepared, and also Mimmo, her husband, who was also our waiter, who served us so well. A top-notch service in my experience, and I highly recommend it. Congratulations again.

Today, August 18, 2025, I had lunch at the Lago Grande Colucci Restaurant in Monticchio; a quiet atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly staff, amazing appetizers and first courses, and a smoked limoncello with mint. An experience worth repeating... I highly recommend it! Thank you ☺️

Discovered by chance on Facebook, it was a pleasant experience. They are very kind and helpful, combining high professionalism with a touch of natural empathy, which allows Coca to prepare exquisite dishes even for celiacs like me. The staff, without being intrusive, always ensures that everything is fine. Chef Felicetta cooks with skill and love. Prices are absolutely reasonable, with no extra charge for celiacs. Excellent experience. If you call early in the morning, they will prepare fresh homemade gluten-free pasta, such as tagliatelle, orecchiette, and ravioli.

Semplicemente speciale, sia in termini di qualità del cibo, sia per la gentilezza dei proprietari. Ritorneremo sicuramente! Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo!

Essere accolti da amici in un ambiente informale ma professionale non ha prezzo. Piatti tipici della tradizione Lucana rielaborati in modo sapiente dallo chef. Porzioni abbondanti ma curate fin nei minimi dettagli. Condimenti naturali ed assenza di addensanti, basta la maestria di chi cucina per creare le giuste combinazioni tra sapore, densità, consistenza e visibilità della portata. Siamo capitati per caso in questo locale dopo aver letto qualche recensione ma sicuramente sarà il nostro punto di riferimento a Monticchio,ci ritorneremo con piacere e con la certezza di essere accolti come in famiglia. In cerca di refrigerio dalla calura estiva (insopportabile in città) abbiamo visitato dei posti incantevoli: oltre la bellezza dei laghi abbiamo avuto modo di visitare il monastero di San Michele; posto incantevole che domina i laghi sottostanti in cui si specchia.
