Everything was average, but the pasta and potatoes were delicious.

Maybe it wasn't the right evening...
First, we asked for draft beer: it ran out. We settled for a bottle, because the second request never arrived.
A mussels stew with pepper, where the bland and undercooked mussels were floating in a watery liquid devoid of any flavor, not even a drizzle of oil, garlic, or any other seasonings. The pepper was definitely added generously afterward (after the dish was cooked, before serving).
The seafood cuoppo consisted only of fried anchovies and three small pieces of frozen cod with the skin still attached.
Unfortunately, I was expecting a real seafood cuoppo... you know, that cone-shaped package that usually contains, as the name suggests, fried morsels of various fish, cod, octopus, calamari, shrimp, and not just anchovies!!!
It would have been enough to write it on the menu or say it out loud.
We added French fries to the order, because other types were also sold out. But were the ketchup and mayonnaise all out?
Finally, the pizzas. Luckily, they were good.
The outdoor setting was lovely, and the staff at the tables were friendly.
An unsatisfactory experience.

Upon arriving at our destination, we were already excited: the outdoor space was beautifully set—tables neatly arranged, a relaxed atmosphere beneath the Starry Tower. We were already anticipating the perfect evening, convinced by friends' recommendations and the enthusiastic reviews: "Splendid location... Excellent welcome and service."
Reservations made, we sat down with the expectation that it would be a "top-notch" experience. First round: peppered mussels, the simplest and most comforting seafood dish. But... surprise! Perhaps the chef was busy with an advanced crossword puzzle (Bartezzaghi), because we barely paid attention.
The result? Semi-raw mussels, with pepper sprinkled on the shells at the last minute (as if it were a decoration), no aroma, no parsley leaves, or lemon wedge as a garnish. And the fish soup? Nonexistent, to the point that real seawater seemed a more flavorful choice.
Then the cold shower: draft beer sold out. In the summer, at a seafood restaurant... unbelievable.
Let's move on to the seafood cuoppo: we expected a triumph of mixed fried fish, but instead found 99% fried anchovies and two or three heroic pieces of (frozen) cod with tough skin. If they'd told us what they were made of beforehand, we would have chosen something else.
The fries? The "special" and various ones on the menu were sold out. The classic fries remained, but strictly served without ketchup or mayonnaise. The bread basket? A legendary myth, useful only for dreaming of mopping up the fish in the broth (which wasn't there).
Luckily, the pizzeria scored a consolation goal: good dough, but with extra toppings (raw ham, buffalo mozzarella, etc.) that made the bill "increase" beyond what was necessary.
Meanwhile, the second bottled beer never arrived. The place was filling up, and the two young waiters, truly talented, were running around trying to save the evening. But the kitchen continued to send out orders like parcels from the Tower: scattered, confused, and often out of time.
In summary
Outdoor atmosphere: top.
Service: pass, but only due to the efforts of the staff.
Mussels with pepper: disaster (crossword puzzle level).
Draft beer: sold out = disappointment.
Cuoppo di mare: anchovy party with a bonus of hard cod.
Chips and sauces, bread basket: treasure hunt stuff.
Pizza: the only real salvation, but with overpriced extras.
Final verdict
We'll give it another chance, hoping the beer is back on tap, the mussels learn what cooking means, and the chef puts off the crossword puzzle until after dinner.
Rating: 6.5/10 (pizzeria passes, other dishes... to be reviewed).

They make great pizzas here, with a real old town feel. Other dishes are available upon request and when the ingredients are available.

A welcoming place, it almost feels like eating with family but at the same time you're served like a 5-star restaurant. The food is quality and the chef is a true master. We'll definitely be back!

If there is a place where respect for the raw material meets the art of hospitality, then this table is the proof. The photo that I have the pleasure of showing tells much more than a simple meal: it is a Mediterranean symphony orchestrated with mastery, attention and passion.
