One, two, three and hello, here we are in San Pír a Vèncul, in the small square that houses the restaurant of the same name founded in 1999.
Once we enter we find ourselves in front of a tidy and clean place with a style and furnishings that take you back in time.
The menu is extensive, there are meat and fish based dishes as well as pizzas, and every week they offer different off-menu items.
After careful consideration
we opt for the selection of cold and hot appetizers, a journey around the sea that starts with a generous cold appetizer and four hot courses.
The cold appetizer was colourful, fragrant and inviting, the segment that we appreciated the most was the one with the skate wings and courgettes, truly special.
Next came a rectangular plate with three samples of hot appetizers:
- Salted prawns: a shame because there was intestine in all the prawns, we expected something more from a place that offers wipes like a damp towel.
-Mediterranean tuna: good, tasty.
-Shrimp cutlet: it was the first time, we had never tasted prawn in this version, not bad.
Next came a pan of Tarantina mussels to share.
Our daughter opted for meat instead and ordered a plate of Tagliatelle with meat sauce. SPECTACULAR!!!!!! Thick and rough tagliatelle that went perfectly with the richly flavored ragù.
A place where you can eat well, feel calm, intimate and convivial at the same time. Praise for the kindness and availability of the staff, always smiling and helpful with an eye for detail.

We came without a reservation on Sunday evening, very kind waiter who prepared the table for us in two minutes.
We ordered two pizzas, a truffle cream which is with a truffle pâté, sausage and 4 cheeses.. it was good but I would have preferred the sausage to be cooked more and after a while the flavor of the truffle cream will stew you and a pizza from the piazzetta which we really liked!
Very thin cracker-type pizza, the ingredients on top are very good!

I took some cappelletti with ragù that were decidedly salty in the filling. I ate half a portion and then gave up
