A very nice restaurant on the outskirts of Bormio.
We had dinner à la carte on the evening of December 31st. Everything was excellent.
The staff was extremely friendly.
If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely return.
The restaurant is located in a small village about 3 km from Bormio. The place is what you'd expect from a pizzeria, with an open oven and tables arranged around it. It wasn't very warm, in fact, I'd say it was a bit chilly. We didn't order pizza, but we did have sciatt, bresaola, a cheese board, pizzoccheri, polenta with mushrooms and sausage, tiramisu, and strudel. The food was good, average. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable.
Pizzeria restaurant just outside Bormio. We had bresaola carpacciata, sciatt, and a cheese board for appetizers, all delicious. For the first course, plentiful pizzoccheri. For the main course, polenta with mushrooms and sausage, and a pork cutlet with fries. For dessert, tiramisu and steudel. Everything was decent, the service was quick, and the prices were quite reasonable. Parking outside is convenient.
We stumbled upon this place by chance. I didn't look at any reviews or anything else. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The food, however, was average; we had a cured meats appetizer (good), and the first and second courses were certainly not unforgettable. But what left me astonished was the €5 per person cover charge. In my opinion, neither the ambiance nor the plastic placemats justify such a price.
