Pizzeria and restaurant located in the main square of the village of San Martino al Cimino. A welcoming location, it offers pizza and good food made with local ingredients. Friendly staff, moderate prices. A bit noisy when busy.

We had a great evening on Valentine's Day. The food was excellent, the portions were quite generous, and the waiters were friendly. We'll be back.

The restaurant is well-decorated and has several rooms. Parking outside the building is easy. We found it by checking other restaurants in the area that also offered gluten-free options.
The staff is very courteous and welcomed us impeccably. We started with the house platter, which was a good start, although I would recommend toasting the gluten-free bread for the bruschetta to make it more palatable. The cured meats and buffalo mozzarella were excellent, as were the sauces on the bruschetta. The mushrooms were also excellent.
For our first courses, we had the lombrichelli alla Viterbese (without chili pepper) and the white polenta with mushrooms and sausage (gluten-free). The lombrichelli were very good as a pasta, but the sauce was rather light, and the pecorino dominated everything: I would have preferred a stronger taste of tomato.
The polenta was very soft in texture (perhaps because it was served on a wooden plate so it could be distributed better), perhaps too soft for what we're used to eating it, and the toppings weren't well-blended, making the dish feel less harmonious.
For dessert, we ordered the gluten-free version of the deconstructed tart. Unfortunately, the actual tart wasn't there: there were crumbled biscuits (too few and too crumbled) and the crunchy part was almost nonexistent. The cream with the berries on top was very good, but overall, it didn't justify the €9 price tag for the type and portion of the dessert.
The restaurant also has a wine bar.
Overall, the meal wasn't bad, but we expected something more.

Excellent food quality. Mushrooms of all kinds seem to be the specialty. Very friendly service. The place is cozy, though a bit small with a stroller, but still manageable. There's a bit of difficulty getting in with a stroller due to the inevitable stairs. Overall, I'd recommend it.

It had been a long time since I'd been there for Sunday lunch, and it was a lovely discovery. The atmosphere was pleasant, with attention to detail evident from the entrance to the dining room. The dishes were typical of "Sammartinese" cuisine, with fresh mushrooms in our case, but still good quality. The mixed antipasto was plentiful, so three people ate there easily. The meat was excellent, as was the padellaccia with mushrooms and potatoes... The staff were kind and courteous, and the prices were in line with the quality of the ingredients. We'll see you again soon.

Not a particularly positive experience
The food was good...for goodness sake, but a few things went wrong.
I had booked a table outside, but the waiter sat us inside...only to have us moved outside after 10 minutes!
Next, I ordered fresh pasta with guanciale, pistachio, and pecorino cheese, but unfortunately the pistachio cream contained crushed pistachio shells! The deconstructed tart was sublime, but the chestnut cream dessert was nothing special!
Super-fast service
fast!
The prices were definitely above average for what we ate.

There were 12 of us, outside under the umbrella, within reach of the smoke from the brazier set up for the fair, for roasting chestnuts. We ordered: 4 sliced appetizers, 11 first courses, 2 potatoes and porcini mushrooms, 11 desserts, 1 (one) bottle of wine, 6 bottles of water, and 5 coffees. We spent €440, or €37 each. In my opinion, given the location (outside the restaurant), a traditional (not gourmet) mountain first course for €18 and a dessert for €8-9 are overpriced.

A trip to Tuscia, to this delightful and quiet village. The restaurant, though a bit cramped and sprawling, is very well-decorated and welcoming. Following the general recommendation, we opted for mushrooms, which, admittedly, were somewhat undercooked in the fettuccine, which negated their aroma and texture. The chickpea and chestnut soup, however, was good. For main course, a sliced steak with arugula and mushrooms, which wasn't particularly successful, and a polenta with porcini mushrooms and sausage. Overall, we were a bit disappointed, primarily by the mushrooms featured, at least in the dishes we chose, almost like a dussel, a preparation more suited to mushrooms than to the king of porcini mushrooms. But we probably just ordered the wrong thing. Service was friendly, the bathroom impeccable. With a glass of Sangiovese, the bill came to about €80 for two.
