Oops, what happened there? We've been coming to Meran 2-3 times a year for a good 3 years and a fixed item on the program is the Kirchsteiger, always great quality and service at a reasonable price. Today the quality and price were as usual, but where was the service, we waited around an hour for food and no one came by to ask if we would like anything else. Then you lose the fun of espresso or grappa. We even waited forever for the bill. It's a shame, service is also part of the overall picture. We also missed the nice lady who usually welcomed us! And unfortunately the menu on the Internet does not match what you can choose in the restaurant. Miss the grill plate...

We were there twice in one week. The first time we had veal liver and tagliatelle, both very good. The second time a hamburger and canneloni - unfortunately they were hot on the outside and cold on the inside, even after a complaint and another stay in the kitchen, they were cold on the inside again. The waitress offered dessert as an excuse that the dish was not charged. It can happen, but it shouldn't.

Restaurant Kirchsteiger, down-to-earth and very warm, we would love to come back!

Wonderful dining experience! We had a fantastic evening at Kirchsteiger. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and immediately shown to our table. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was an absolute highlight! Each course was prepared with great attention to detail and tasted excellently. The grilled salmon fillet in particular was a real treat - tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. Our waiter Max always had a smile on his face and was able to give us excellent advice. The waiting times between courses were also just right. Overall, an all-round perfect experience. We'll definitely be back.

Friendly service...great pizza...it wasn't a problem to get the pizza divided into two plates...and an apple strudel to add to it

In un ambiente caratteristico, ottima cucina tirolese e una cortese accoglienza anche se siamo arrivati un po' fuori orario...

Durante il nostro soggiorno a Merano abbiamo deciso di cenare presso questo ristorante che, senza problemi e pregiudizi, ha accettato l’ingresso dei nostri due cagnolini. Pietanze ben cucinate e di qualità. In particolare ho gradito lo stinco di agnello che non avevo mai mangiato. Ottimo vino della casa. Cameriera cortese e servizio efficiente. Unico aspetto negativo i prezzi medio alti. Nel complesso ottima esperienza.
