It deserves all your attention: a welcoming atmosphere, professional service, and a menu that elegantly celebrates the seafood. The fish is fresh and well-prepared: well-assorted appetizers, flavorful first courses, and authentically flavorful main courses. The refined atmosphere is also convenient for quiet dinners or special evenings. Prices are in line with the quality. I will definitely return—I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well in the city without compromise.

The raw fish is excellent, the grilled eels are good, but it's a shame about the grilled prawns, they brought us some small prawns cooked in a pan with sauce...

Non sono certa di scrivere una recensione sul luogo giusto: la mia esperienza, infatti, è relativa al Ristorante Il Volo Mare in Calata dei Trinitari a Cagliari. Attirata dalla presenza di una band di cui siamo fans, abbiamo cenato con un gruppo di amici in questo locale. Siamo stati accolti da un personale estremamente cortese e disponibile (aspetto, ahimè, non sempre scontato), che si è preso cura di noi durante tutta la serata. Pietanze di mare di qualità, servite con cura e in tempi davvero rapidi. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Il locale, delizioso e accogliente, contribuisce a rendere l'esperienza ancora più piacevole. Bravi! Torneremo certamente!

Otium

02/12/2025: "L'Otium, a World Heritage Site!" is the slogan I'd associate with this restaurant. The location, overlooking the skyline of the Sella del Diavolo, at the first stop on the Poetto seafront, is priceless, as is the food, my favorites being the seafood fregula or the legendary fried calamari with chips. All the other specials are also delicious, some of which are daily based on the catch of the day. The restaurant is easily accessible by city buses (from the Matteotti stop in Cagliari city center with buses PF and PQ and, in the summer, with the Potto Express and 5ZE). It's advisable to book, especially on weekends, as the restaurant is extremely popular and often sells out the day before.
13/11/2025: Nice spot to have a lunch nearby the sea, with a great sardinian sun. I suggest to try fregula and sardinian mied fried fish, those are their best dishes and the best ones to try in a beach chiosco. The prices are a little bit on the higher side, but you'll have a nice lunch.

22/07/2025: Excellent value! A pleasant place in Cagliari for a meal with friends. My partner and I took advantage of the aperitivo option: €15 for two drinks/glasses + a platter. There's also a wide selection of sauces to pair with your meal, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating to our requests! Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant evening in the heart of Cagliari! ✨
18/07/2025: The food and Spritz were really good. Their specialty is fried food, and what can I say...good and dry, so super digestible. We took the offer with the fried food platter and Spritz. The platter included chicken meatballs, fresh chips, spring rolls, and other little things—SUPERB! For €15, it was truly top-notch. Special mention goes to the service; the staff was incredibly kind. I asked if they had a changing table for my baby, and unfortunately there wasn't one, but they set up a table for me in the bathroom and promised to buy one...thank you so much! It's become my favorite place for aperitivo! ❤️
