12/03/2026: We were so happy to have discovered this restaurant—it truly enhanced our stay in Matera. The ambiance was beautiful, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. The food was excellent; we tried our way through the entire menu, from appetizers to main courses and desserts, and each dish was a delight. We also enjoyed local wines from Matera, perfectly recommended by our attentive waiter. The restaurant’s concept is very interesting, with a self-service element, but it didn’t bother us at all—it actually added to the experience. Overall, it was a wonderful evening, and we can absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera.

08/03/2026: The restaurant La Grotta del Gusto in Matera Sassi is a truly exceptional place. It is located in a space carved into the rock, which creates a unique and very authentic atmosphere. The setting is beautiful and original, fitting perfectly into the historical character of the city. The food was excellent, very tasty and well prepared. The overall experience of the visit was great and I definitely recommend this restaurant.
