You'd literally take the chef home with you! The food was delicious. We had the tenderloin with fresh truffles and roasted potatoes. And for dessert, tiramisu and panna cotta. Friendly and fast service, nice and cozy little restaurant. And free parking right outside.

Friendly and helpful staff, quick service. Delicious food: a lovely platter of cured meats and cheeses, excellent wild boar pappardelle, delicious rosemary tagliata, and grilled fillet steak. The meat was flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The dessert was also very good. Well done!

We had a fantastic meal, a delicious steak with a surprisingly tasty pistachio sauce. Highly recommended. It was so good here that we ate here two days in a row during our vacation. Highly recommended!

We stopped to visit the village, a magnificent place, we decided to have lunch, we had a great time, both for the pappardelle with wild boar, and for the very good cured meats and cheeses, kind and helpful staff, I recommend it 👍👍👍Ciccio

Siamo stati al Gallo nero su consiglio del nostro albergatore, tre coppie " pazzerelle" ed affamate da Verona ...Castiglione Fiorentino non aveva un ristorante libero a causa di una bellissima fiera di paese, il personale del Gallo nero ci ha accolti comunque facendo di tutto per anticipare l'orario della cena così da poterci accontentare,camerieri molto professionali, gentili ci hanno servito dell'ottimo cibo,portando anche del prosciutto ai nostri piccoli cagnolini affamati . Consiglio questo bellissimo ristorante , per il cibo ,l'atmosfera ,il personale e per la super titolare che con tanta gentilezza ci ha coccolati con il suo cibo speciale . Che dire ....a presto!!! Un bacio da Verona !

05/09/2025: I stopped in Lucignano, a village well worth a visit, and stumbled upon this historic osteria. The atmosphere is welcoming, authentic, and even when it's crowded, there's no chaos that can get overwhelming. The food is home-cooked, good, and honest. I appreciated watching the neighbors, who, in addition to the meats, prepared properly, also make a light pizza. The waiters are polite and cheerful. The best thing is that the food is good and the price is right, a quality/price ratio that's hard to find these days. A sincere place, worth considering.

05/08/2025: Truly top notch. We were there for a 40th birthday. Impeccable, but above all, the staff and owners were very helpful.
04/08/2025: We chose Lucio and his team as our wedding caterer. They made an exceptional contribution to the success of our special day! Great professionalism, attention to detail (from the first menu tasting), and great availability and flexibility. We knew right away we were in good hands! The dishes were delicious, and all our guests complimented us on them, especially the wild boar ragù and duck. The vegetarian options were also excellent (as the bride herself said!), and the cake was beautiful and delicious! Thank you all for your professionalism and kindness!
