Small local place, with a surprisingly large menu and the city's only place with pasta vongole. Good food, authentic atmosphere.

A place a stone's throw from the lake, a homely atmosphere and good quality food. The friendly and professional staff. All at modest prices. The fixed price menu offers two first courses, two second courses and two side dishes. An alternative would be advisable for those who don't eat meat.

Gran joya escondida en Omegna. Visitado para la cena en una escala de 1 noche en Omegna. Estábamos sentados al instante, orden tomado y la comida llegó rápidamente. Gran calidad, sabía increíble y el precio era de menos de 25 € para 2 personas, incluyendo bebidas. Bonita gestión familiar, sensación acogedora en el restaurante y a pesar de una barrera lingüística (por nuestra parte - ojalá hubiéramos aprendido un poco de italiano por cortesía) no podía fallar este lugar en absoluto! Gracias - sin duda volveremos si pasamos por Omegna de nuevo 😍

19/04/2025: We came here spontaneously and tried our best to order in Italian. Normally, that's good enough to order the right thing, but the waiter didn't understand us at all and answered in broken English. So, the star deduction is for the service. The ambiance with the patio heater was very nice, and the drinks and cake were very good...
14/04/2025: Unfortunately, the service at Café Verbano has declined. The staff looks past the guests. Long waiting times if you don't defend yourself. With the aperitif there is always a pair of sandwiches, which is great. But last time we only got it when we had almost finished the wine. The nice boss should pay more attention to the employees.

Bar Ristorante Lago Smeraldo

30/10/2024: I spent a few hours in this place after a hike. From the terrace you can enjoy an enchanting view of the east face of the Rosa. The strudel was excellent (I allowed myself an encore). Cozy atmosphere, fast service even though it was crowded. Convenient for the cable car (it's practically attached).
29/09/2024: Beautiful staff! We were on our way to Bivacco Antigine, and host was really helpful, explaining the route and telling about surroundings in general. Food is good for mountain restaurant, too, and the view both from restaurant, or the outside terrace is breathtaking. Good location, just near the elevator, and close to the Madonna viewpoint, and excellent short via ferrata is in 20 min walk.
