Excellent cuisine and a favorable location for various excursions

Excellent family-run hotel. The food is excellent, and the owners, who also run the hotel, are very friendly and helpful. Excellent location right next to Chiareggio's most beautiful walks. Fantastic views from the rooms. I stand by my review above, thank you.

Cuisine: excellent (it's accurate to call it "family-style" due to the authenticity of the ingredients and preparation, as well as the excellence of the desserts, all homemade). Staff: excellent, especially the service staff. Rooms: comfortable and well-appointed. Bureaucracy kept to a minimum. Good value for money. Excellent hospitality.

Good food, friendly service and a wonderful room view 😄

We arrived at the Hotel Gembro restaurant after a long walk and appreciated the welcome even though it was almost closing time (just before 2:00 PM). The staff, however, seemed aloof and the service a bit rushed, probably due to the time. As for the food, the dishes were overall average. The tagliolini were good, simple but tasty, while the beef fillet was disappointing: the meat was not particularly tender and flavorful. Overall, a useful option if you're in the area and need a meal, but there's room for improvement, especially in terms of the hospitality and the quality of some dishes.
