07/03/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant. The pizza and pasta were delicious. The staff were very friendly and the place was cozy. The prices were good.
23/02/2026: We stayed nearby for a week, and since it’s the almost only place to eat in town, we ended up dining there almost every day. Very quickly, we realized it’s much more than just a restaurant — it’s the heart of the community. Locals gather there to catch up on news, celebrate birthdays, watch the Olympic Games together, or simply enjoy a beer in the evening.
Because Grumes is such a small town, it didn’t take long before we felt like part of the neighbourhood. People greeted us warmly, as if we were regulars or even neighbours, always asking how we were doing. It was a truly welcoming and special experience.
The menu featured Italian classics alongside several Indian dishes, reflecting the family’s Indian origins. We tried a variety of pastas, pizzas, and local meat specialties, and everything was absolutely delicious — prepared just as it should be in Italy.
We’ve traveled to Italy many times and know that, in some places, the food can be surprisingly disappointing when it’s made to cater to the masses. Here, however, every dish followed the best traditions of Italian cuisine: fresh, flavourful, generously portioned, and authentic. On top of that, the prices were refreshingly local rather than tourist-oriented, which made the experience even better.
Thank you for making feel us at home!
