Expectations were very high given that it was always fully booked when they called for a table and given the reviews, but apart from the first courses, almost all of which were homemade pasta, such as tordelli, ravioli, tagliolini, etc., we didn't find the rest to be that exceptional, let's say average, but the prices are also average in Garfagnana. There are other places where you can eat better and spend less, and even the welcome and courtesy were not the best... long faces, perhaps they were annoyed because we arrived at 1:50 pm. They pointed out that we were late, when in the end it was they who were a bit slow in serving us. Let's just say that I wouldn't go back there for either the food or the service we received!

The atmosphere is simple and typical of the area, welcoming and familiar. The service was quick and attentive, with very friendly staff. We ate really well, with generous portions and tasty dishes. If you're not a big eater, I recommend sharing a first course: the portions are so generous, you'll have a hard time finishing them.
Excellent price.

What a discovery, folks!
Came to eat on Sunday, November 9th with friends and family.
Excellent food, from the generous appetizers to the first courses, main courses, and desserts.
Homemade pasta, desserts too, and a wonderful atmosphere, surrounded by mountains and fresh, clean air.
If you're coming from Lucca or the surrounding area, the view leading to Sandra's will take your breath away.
Low prices compared to other places, and for a small fee, you'll eat well and leave feeling more than satisfied.
Serena served us, always smiling and very friendly.
I recommend booking well in advance as it's hard to find a table.

Being vegan, I thought I'd have to settle for a vegetable-based lunch. Instead, I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent appetizer, mushroom gnocchi, and a delicious berry tart. The lady who took our order even told me that if we'd let her know, she could have prepared something even more delicious. A pleasant surprise. Top marks. I must say that the rest of the group, all omnivores, also particularly enjoyed the menu.

Unparalleled value for money. I recommend booking a few days in advance to secure a table. We ate: a generous appetizer, 1 artichoke ravioli with pancetta and pecorino cheese, 1 tagliolini with white rabbit sauce, 2 desserts, a half-bottle of wine, and a bottle of water. We spent €38 for two.
