First time in this restaurant and second experience in a starred restaurant, I must say that it exceeded my expectations! Cozy and romantic restaurant, friendly and super helpful staff. Surprise menu of 7 courses, some courses are vegetable-based, I loved the knife-fried tuna with red turnip, really well balanced! The gnocchi with pesto are really delicious, they explode in your mouth! Personally, I was also very surprised by the Philipponnat Royal Reserve Brut champagne, selected to accompany these dishes. Average price, high quality. Congratulations to chef Samuele Di Murro and the Scala family

1 Michelin simple and exquisite. From the entry without dresscode, through the appetizer and breads. The wine and those UNBEATABLE Pesto Gnocchi. Desserts with overly elevated flavors...on another level of delicious. Thanks to Olga and Samuele the Chef who took the time to talk to us, and tell us about the entire process... congratulations for that teamwork.!!!

San Giorgio offered an amazing culinary experience in Genova. Our host, Olga, was very attentive and made our dinner memorable, complete with small sampling treats even though we chose to order a la carte. Chef Di Murro's passion for bread is remarkable and all savoured dishes were outstanding.

Great, caring Service, at least Most of the time. The Sommelier was very Professional and served us an excellent recommended bottle. They have great climate and the Ambiente is a decent, old school michelin Restaurant type of vibe. However, the food was unfortunately below my expectations. i do Care about Things Like highlighted products or courses and a Red thread throughout a menu, especially If its a themed surprise menu. Unfortunately, i missed those aspects here...A few of the seven courses we had were really good. I Loved the scallop with apricot and spinach very much. My least favourite course was a Tuna dish with mayo and a cold tomato split-broth. The Problem Here was, that the Mayo was surrounded by the split-broth and so the mayos Emulsion collapsed while eating the dish. Unfortunately the Service got a little worse over the time. In the end they started cleaning Up the Restaurant while we were still drinking digestives and it seemed a little bit Like we were forgotten. But i also know that there are Bad days, even in fine dining kitchens, so maybe it was Just one of those. I think If you Like Fine dining and Happen to be in the area ist Not a mistake to Check it Out. I would recommend to maybe try Out the a la carte offers, they sounded great. Also If you Love wine, this is your place to be. The Sommelier did an amazing Job and was very polite.

I had a really really lovely evening. Friendly service from start to finish, with great expertise on the local products used for their menu. Nice ambiance, calming, relaxing, serene. We had the surprise menu which was a great decision for a surprisingly good price. Very Italian food, local ingredients, lovely representation, great colours. Enjoyed every minute
