The restaurant at Enrico al Ponte is a guarantee! We found it by chance and it was love right away! Mr. Enrico is wonderfully sweet! We come back from Viareggio every now and then!

My wife and I have been travelling from Rome to Pompei to Florence. Our BNB is in Capannori Lucca, and this restaurant was recommended by the man working at the laundromat. We had a reservation at a Michelin restaurant in Florence for this evening but did not feel like driving all the way and back for dinner. WE ARE HAPPY WE CANCELED! This restaurant was EVERYTHING we had been missing our vacation dining experience. The amazing host and owner were so good to us and patient due to the language barrier. But it was PERFECT. The food (I had the steak Florentina and wife had Wild Boar ragu pappardelle and a bottle of recommended red wine). I read a few different reviews on here about the florentina not being cooked all the way…..ITS MEANT TO BE RARE! And it’s phenomenal that way. 12/10 for everything. The extra 2 points were due to the patience and warmth given to us for being there that evening. If you’re in the area, GIVE THIS PLACE A SIT DOWN!

Ristorante molto buono ma anche molto caro. Buona la carne alla brace. Vino della casa discreto e ben freddo anche se rosso. Prezzo decisamente alto
