20/07/2024: Nice restaurant for a quiet evening in a nice place. All very good, it's a pity that during the choice of wine the book was literally taken away from us and a wine was recommended to us which later turned out not to be to our liking. If he had had one more minute of patience everything would have been much more pleasant. However, the place is worth it.

07/05/2024: Monday night is always quiet we find when we dine out … & so it was here. That said attentive service being always welcome doesn’t mean with few customers you should feel a tad pressured by more than just one wait person to order with no delay! This old timer has been around for a long time… & it’s just a bit tired inside… but friendly service & mostly decent food meant we had a pleasant enough meal, without any problems. The liver pate ‘of the day’ we all shared was indeed very nice - but the so-called ‘asparagus flan’ in a too-cheesy sauce ( misnamed menu-listed as a “ fondue” !) was way outta wack . The mild flavoured collapsing mouse island in the cheese pond just had 5 short-trimmed spears of limp, overcooked asparagus laid on top . Weird. A sadly unsuccessful attempt at modern cooking. The 3 mains of two pasta + one fried fish were standard fare & competently handled. I’d hoped for better overall.
