The place itself isn't bad, the service is punctual, the only downside is the wait for pizzas, which for those who order takeout is almost biblical. It's a shame. That was my experience.

I tried the weekly set menu. You have a choice of three dishes per course (first course, second course with side dish, water, wine, and coffee). The dishes are very generous, but the taste is so-so. The pasta was definitely good, better than the roast beef with mashed potatoes, which was completely tasteless. The pizza was definitely worth a try; it looked excellent. A fair price.

I'm from Puglia, but I moved to Gropello three months ago, and I can say that Il Capriccio is like returning to Puglia. Excellent service, the chef is fabulous, attentive to the details in the kitchen. The pizza varieties are also delicious.

30/11/2025: 11/2025 Beautiful restaurant, very spacious interior and classically furnished, perfect for a wedding reception. This is especially evident from the exterior, with flowerbeds and Italianate gardens, classical columns and statues, and country-style accents in the form of low walls and arches. Until a few years ago, the restaurant was probably called Barattino, as evidenced by a diploma from a few decades ago, and as can also be deduced from the name of the town where it is located, which is the same. The food was quite local, as the risotto and chicken were certainly local, while other dishes satisfied the palates with quality, professional service, and timely delivery.
20/10/2025: Just the location, the poor menu, not even for a child, was enough.

13/10/2025: We went there for the first time for a fantastic exhibition at the castle. Excellent experience, warm welcome, attentive and friendly service, especially from the young man. The dishes were quality. We ordered mushroom risotto, pumpkin gnocchi with gorgonzola, etc. Everything was very good. I confess I would have liked to try the pizzas too. Recommended 👍
05/10/2025: We stopped to eat at the osteria with my husband and children... a wonderful welcome and excellent food... characteristic dishes... the service young but very friendly and the hostess pleasant and kind.
