Ristorante Pizzeria In Menaggio

The pasta is incredible / the pasta arrabiata / ravioli cacio e Pepe / was incredible / I would not do pizza / but it’s ok. The pastas are incredible and so is the eggplant parm! So good coming again!!!!

Ate here out of necessity rather than choice as main restaurants were busy and we had not made a reservation anywhere. Pizza bases were shop bought and thick and uniform shape and size…definitely not the rustic pizza were are used to eating on this holiday, probably the worst one in 2wks. Wife’s GF lasagne and salad was nice though. Service was ok and functional. ‘Ok’ price for a tourist restaurant. Wouldn’t choose to go back particularly.

We finally had a great time at a restaurant with the family during our vacation! The server was extremely kind, smiling, and joking. We received our meals after finishing the aperitif (exceptional!); they were generous and excellent. Of the three restaurants we've been to in Menaggio since our arrival, this was by far the best. Luckily, I didn't check the ratings like I usually do; we wouldn't have had such a wonderful experience. Unlike some restaurants that have high ratings but rush customers and whose quality isn't exceptional. There was a small glitch during payment with errors in the bill, but we've had that happen at another restaurant too; always check anyway. In short, despite this, we'll be back.

Intrigued by the low reviews, my wife and I called in to see what this place was all about. A lot of the reviews are about the pizzas. We didn't have the pizza so I can't comment on those. I had the Angus steak with parmesan shavings which was cooked to perfection. My wife had the ravioli which was as good as we have had anywhere else. The owner, Bepe was lovely, the service was very quick and the wine we had - a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo - was absolutely delicious. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that it was a little expensive for what we had. Overall, ignore the 1 and 2 star reviews (unless you are a pedantic pizza connoisseur). Everywhere in Menaggio is pricey. Accept that. This is a lovely laid back place to enjoy some yummy food and tasty wine and watch the world go by.

I don't understand the negative reviews at all! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! The price was quite reasonable compared to other restaurants and certainly not too expensive for the portions we received. Highly recommended! Great Italian restaurant 😊

Very good pasta and pizza But a vulgar tomato salad with a terrible mozzarella. €18 is a bit expensive. The waiters and the owner are nice, but the owner should stay home given her friendliness or change careers!!!

We had a great time here. Good service and we got the spicy penne and butter sage ravioli both were excellent! The flavors and freshness was the pastas were outstanding. In contrast to some of the other reviews, I was able to pay with card.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. We came in a group of 14 people, and setting up a table for us was no problem at all. The service was very nice and everything was brought to us extremely quickly. We ordered a lot of items from the menu, from pasta through pizza to main courses, and everyone in the group was at least satisfied. I personally especially recommend the spaghetti carbonare, the portion was large and the taste was great, strong aroma of smoked pancetta. Honest, tasty food, only the coperto of 3 euros slightly spoils the image, but despite this I definitely recommend it!
