My father and I, who are passionate about food, especially seafood, went to this restaurant for lunch today. Highly recommended! Let's start by saying that it's a fishmonger's shop that's been converted into a restaurant on one side. As soon as you enter, you'll find a counter with a wide variety of fresh fish, and they also have a selection of ready-made dishes to take home. The restaurant itself is located in the small, modern interior, with beautiful blue accents throughout. Our first course was the red mullet-filled cappelletti, delicious and cooked al dente, as it should be, followed by the caciucco. It's a shame the caciucco was rather lukewarm, so we didn't get the full flavor of the seafood, even though the ingredients were noticeable. Then we had the caramelized octopus and the fried fish. Perfectly fried, not greasy. The octopus needs a rethink because it was at times too sweet; it needs a strong acidity to counteract the soy sauce and brown sugar. Last but not least, the dessert. Truly exceptional. Pecorino mousse with pear sprigs. The restaurant was specially created by a very young pastry chef, Lara, whom we had the pleasure of meeting. Very attentive and polite, she made the end of the meal perfect, as it should be. Nicky, one of the waitresses, was also super friendly and approachable, and the staff in general was very attentive and friendly. I felt like I'd known them for a long time. Super fast service. So what can I say? If you're at the port of Livorno, you have to stop by!
