Ristorante Parthenos In Mercogliano

At 1pm on a quiet and sunny day, after having been welcomed by the monks of the MonteVergine Abbey and having brightened my spirit, I enter a pleasant and familiar environment, with the welcome of the cordial and friendly Massimo, who accompanies me in choosing the menu, delighting my palate taste after taste.

Endless lunch. Despite the competent and friendly waiter, lunch lasted 3 and a half hours. And it was December 27th. Good food, but nothing spectacular. The slowness of the kitchen (few seats, there were 15 of us in the whole room) also made us miss the funicular. This meant walking back to town and checking in after hours at the booked b&b.

TOURIST. I would have expected something more but overall the food was good. They offer 2 set menus at a good price. The appetizer is rich and abundant. The first courses were good but nothing exceptional. Normal dishes. The second course was a classic trio of meat and a classic round of meat. I found it more of a tourist menu. Given the location, in my opinion they may prefer local products and typical dishes more. But if you're in the area it's not bad.

The dining experience at this restaurant located inside the Montevergine Abbey was heavenly. The chef's proposals are excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming (Massimo, Martina and Vittorio). Highly recommended!!!

Delicious and very classy... An exceptional discovery at an advantageous price both for the location, the service and the quality of the dishes prepared by 'Il Chef'! I recommend +++++

Price performance is perfect. Very good food. Local with charm. View is unique. You feel like you've been transported back to the 90s. Definitely worth a visit. P.S. Save yourself the many curves by car and enjoy the funicular ride up the mountain.
