A beautiful osteria in the center of Como. Excellent value, very friendly staff, and delicious food. The polenta dishes are highly recommended; they're delicious and creamy. The ossobuco with polenta and the braised beef with polenta are highly recommended. Definitely worth a try! I'll definitely be back.

Excellent lunch today with my partner in this place that has the flavour of ancient traditions. Braised beef with tender and tasty meat together with the inevitable polenta!

I went to this Osteria on Saturday evening with my wife and four other friends. The atmosphere is very rustic, and when it's busy, it can feel a bit cramped; we were sitting at a table for six against the wall, which felt a bit cramped. The service was fast and lively, though not always precise, but... it's an Osteria, so that's understandable. Generous portions and good food, and a good wine list with plenty of local products. Definitely worth a visit.

It is true that there is a clear differentiation between foreigners and locals, the locals enjoy other prices and “menu” said by one of the waiters, if you are a foreigner in addition to charging you for the food (as is obvious) they charge you 2.5€ for the cover and 15€ for the tray of bread, something that seems super excessive to me and they do not warn you beforehand, BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT, but you have to take into account where you are and if you cannot afford that do not go, otherwise the food is very good, it is a typical and authentic Osteria, the food is very good.

The dish I ordered was beautiful—uncia polenta—and the flavor was decent, not exceptional, but good. The price was excellent. The sage added a nice kick to the polenta, a great choice, but I expected both the cheese and the polenta to stand out more. The atmosphere was family-friendly, and the host was friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is hidden away in a place that tourists might miss. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. There is a 3-course menu for 14 euros. Order and enjoy.

02/02/2026: 897 views from December 2, 2025, to February 2, 2026, for my review of a restaurant that has now closed and therefore lacks any real gastronomic information. I want to believe that these were people who, like me, care deeply about "La Moltrasina" for what it was and what it will be. Even though it is a profane place, crossing the threshold was like entering a magical place, peculiar to a reality far more attractive than a renowned "resort." The five stars are a testament to trust in the Cooperative and the many associations that support it, who will work for the best. Unity in diversity and Forward to Rebirth.
22/01/2026: I ate at Trattoria La Moltrasina and had a truly excellent experience. The restaurant is located on the lakeside, in a stunning location that makes the meal even more enjoyable. Everything is delicious, from the typical cuisine to the traditional dishes, prepared with quality ingredients and authentic flavors. The portions are generous, as you'd expect from a true trattoria, and the price is more than fair for the quality and location. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, perfect for enjoying authentic cuisine without frills. In short, a highly recommended place for a good meal on the lake and a truly satisfying meal. It's a shame it's now closed.
