A triumphant return: Osteria Con Gusto confirms its position as a top destination in Benevento! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I returned to Osteria Con Gusto after a few years, this time with a group of friends, and I can confidently say that the experience exceeded all expectations, even better than I remembered! We took a true journey of flavors, ranging from seafood to land, with exceptionally high-quality ingredients. Here's what impressed us most: **The Appetizers:** A spectacular start. We ordered both the classic prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella platter (very fresh!), accompanied by delicious fried angelfish, and the seafood appetizers. Honorable mention goes to the red prawns with buffalo mozzarella and chopped pistachios: they melted in your mouth, incredibly sweet! The sautéed clams and seafood salad were also excellent, all incredibly fresh. First Courses: The pasta here is a guarantee. We tried richly seasoned seafood linguine, homemade gnocchi with tomato sauce, and a pasta dish (mezzi paccheri/rigatoni) with a thick, flavorful cream (carbonara/gricia) that was truly inviting. Perfectly cooked and with distinct flavors. Second Courses: This was the pinnacle of tradition and expertly prepared fried food. The stewed cod with olives and capers was tender and flavorful, perfect for mopping up the sauce with their excellent bread. The fried calamari was golden, crispy, and above all, dry, not greasy. The cutlet with French fries (for those who wanted meat) was also gigantic and breaded to perfection. Wine and Desserts: We paired everything with an excellent "Lady Pink" rosé wine from Cantine Tora, crisp and perfect with the meal. To top it off, we couldn't resist the ritual of Cantucci with Vin Santo del Chianti: dipping the biscuits in the sweet wine was the perfect final treat, along with a nice ice-cold Strega (a typical Benevento liqueur). Bill and Service: The total bill was €280. Considering we were a group, the quantity of food ordered, the quality of the fish (red shrimp, cod, fried fish), and the wine, the value for money was absolutely fair and reasonable. The service was attentive and courteous, in a refined setting (the wine display was beautiful!). If you're in Benevento, this is a must-see. Well done, we'll definitely be back soon!

Overall, a very positive experience. The fish was truly excellent, expertly and tastefully cooked by the chef. The restaurant is bright and pleasant, and the service was attentive and friendly. The only thing that left me perplexed was the management of the main courses: they were served at different times, and I find it unfair that one person starts eating while the other waits. The coordination in the kitchen could be improved. That said, I left completely satisfied.

A restaurant with a nod to the 80s and 90s, both in style and cuisine. The appetizers are good, but a bit bland; the lobster paccheri are superb. Very friendly service. Prices are reasonable.
