Very professional and courteous staff.

Food and service are only surpassed by the views. Tough hike from rifugio scoiatolli, but manageable. It is only about a 40 minute hike from there but straight up, and worth it. Polenta and goulash, pasta with mushrooms and sausage with polenta was the winner of the day.

Very well-maintained accommodation in the heart of nature. Wonderful location! Dinner was plentiful and good, but it's a bit pricey. Breakfast was excellent!

It's a place that's all in the mountains, but the view is really great and the accommodation is clean and well-managed💚 The restaurant on the first floor is also really delicious!!!! However, there's no refrigerator or water in the room! And there's really nothing around, so you have to buy groceries in advance~~

We had an incredible stay at the Rifugio Ospitale. It's perfectly situated close to Cortina d'Ampezzo, but also close to the sites we wanted to visit (Tre Cime, Lago di Braies) and very picturesque. There are great views from every window and lovely walking paths just across the street, as well as a fresh, cold source of drinking water. We stayed in Room 4 (a quad room), which was spacious and clean, with amazing views and a good cross breeze when the windows were opened, although there were no window screens and definitely some mosquitos. It doesn't seem that there's A/C (or at least it wasn't on when we were there - mid June). Breakfast was plentiful and quite good, if basic. It's entirely worth it to stay here just for how gorgeous and isolated it is, although I would recommend against dining at the restaurant.

The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, but there's a small bar menu, which is perfectly adequate for a quick bite. We had paninis and sandwiches, which arrived quickly and were perfectly fine. Nothing special, but not bad either. Service was great. I don't understand the bad reviews here. By the way, they also sell cookies at the bar, and they're a 12/10 🥰

We booked a room as we were cycling to Ortisei. The rooms were very clean, the location very quiet, and the restaurant was truly 10/10.
