A restaurant that deserves five stars. A menu with local specialities, a refined and romantic setting and a fair price for the quality of the food. More or less with 40 euros you get a starter, a course, dessert, coffee and a glass of wine.

Had dinner upstairs. Nice warm and intimate place located in the historical context. Excellent service and cuisine! I recommend tasting the Purpureo wine.

Passing through Varzi, we found a clean and well-kept environment. Attentive and courteous service.

Ristorante in centro città, in un immobile molto bello; personale cortese e professionale. Abbiamo mangiato tutti molto bene -salame di Varzi e tagliolini ai porcini su tutto. Porzioni eque e prezzo in linea con la qualità offerta. Consigliato. Prenotate perchè i coperti non sono molti.

Since I have lived in Pavia they have always told me how well the food was in Varzi and how the city has a renowned gastronomy that goes beyond its famous cured meats.
I finally managed to try it in person at Officina dei Sapori and I can say that I had an experience that goes far beyond simply eating well.
The place is wonderful, there is an air of home but also intimacy and modernity, in fact it is perfect for an outing as a couple or a group of close friends.
The cuisine was amazing: we obviously started with the cured meats of the city, the Varzi salami was a phenomenal discovery for me!
Along with the cold cuts, we took other house appetizers, the onion pie is an absolute must try.
For the first course I had the ravioli with braised outside and inside, for me the best ravioli I've eaten in a year now. The friend with me had some homemade tagliolini with gorgonzola and walnuts, amazing and pure pleasure for the palate for zola lovers.
As a second course I took the lamb chops, excellent quality meat with a well-balanced flavor thanks to the lemon. The cut taken by my friend was buttery soft.
Finally, even the desserts surprised us, as a non-chocolate lover I wanted to try their chocolate and lime cake, a masterpiece that I would never have expected!
The service was very kind and I compliment the skill and friendliness of the two girls in the room with whom we had the pleasure of having a chat.
The bill was in line with what we ate and drank and the enormous quality of the raw materials.
For me a truly great food and wine experience such as is rarely done.

Ristorante molto ben tenuto con muri in pietra ed atmosfera intima e rilassante.
Nelle belle giornate è anche possibile sfruttare il piccolo spazio esterno e pranzare all’aperto.
All’Officina dei Sapori si pranza solo alla carta (no menù fisso) e questo per noi è sempre un plus.
In occasione di questo pranzo domenicale iniziamo con due antipasti:
il loro “Salumi di Varzi” (con salame di Varzi, coppa, pancetta e lardo) ed il, così denominato, “Antipasto dell’Officina”, con cestino con fonduta di formaggio (dal gusto deciso ma molto sfizioso) accompagnato da verdure grigliate. Un ottimo inizio.
A seguire prendiamo tagliolini freschi con funghi porcini (voto 8) e ravioloni ripieni di ricotta, zafferano e timo (così così…), il tutto accompagnato da un buon calice di Cabanon.
Accoglienza ottima, servizio un po’ lento ma molto buono, prezzi coerenti per quanto proposto.
