I had never eaten there despite living in the area, and I must admit that I missed something special. Jonathan is a truly unique person, he knows how to advise you and knows how to do his job professionally, a very welcoming and evocative environment. Special menu for guests with good taste, we ate very well what Jonathan recommended to us, from the appetizers to the first course followed by various tastings of local products. A gem! We visited this restaurant twice this week. One time for lunch after a hike and today for dinner to celebrate our last day of a two week trip around Monte Amiata and Val d’Orcia region. Both times were extremely pleasant experiences. Jonathan and his colleagues take the time to explain the menu and the specials. Those menus are made with very high quality local products and are given that little extra twist to make those products shine. The dishes are packed with flavor and represent this beautiful region in an outstanding way. The kitchen does venture beyond the classics that you’ll find in decent osteria’s and truly accents the unique and seasonal flavors. For example the white ragu with vinegar santo or the stracotto di manza with a funny yet extraordinary satisfying puree on the side. Anyone who likes to cook recognizes the pleasure that was had creating the menu. For everyone who is looking for a place that bridges the gap between local Tuscan cuisine and fine dining, this is the place! A big shout out to Jonathan, Chiara and their colleagues to have the courage to venture further into the great tradition of Italian cooking. Thank you for your hospitality!
