We had a late breakfast with friends, it was practically lunch, based on amazing homemade desserts. Grandma's cake and cheesecake with delicious chestnut cream. Very kind and smiling staff, a very basic but welcoming place, after all this is how it should be, you come here to walk (after having completed the route of the 14 chapels and before arriving at the sanctuary) and to look at the view. In fact, I have to go back to have lunch on the terrace overlooking Varese and the lakes, enticed not only by the view, but also by the dishes we saw passing by.

I stopped at the bar during a Sunday outing. I can't say anything about the food as we only had drinks. The service is not very attentive, the waitress addressed a table near us with foreign kids in an unpolite and unhelpful way (among other things, demonstrating a very basic knowledge of English), a poorly maintained place, a terrible bathroom (also because anyone from outside can access it). Very beautiful view. A few adjustments would be enough and it would be much more pleasant.

A truly pleasant experience at the “Montorfano restaurant”! The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. A further surprise was the discount that was applied to me, a kindness that made the experience even more special. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine in a welcoming environment!

Restaurant at the top of the Sacro Monte in Varese, small but nice, all good, platters of cold cuts and cheeses, ossobuco gnocchi, pizzoccheri, polenta and mushrooms and desserts. Parking in the square of the Sacro Monte and then walking to get to the restaurant, however, the breathtaking view is worth it!!!!

Para cuando hayas caminado hasta Santa Maria del Monte, pasando por todas las capillas que componen el Sacro Monte di Varese (patrimonio de la humanidad por la Unesco y hermosa ruta de peregrinación) , es probable que te estés preguntando dónde sentarte para comer y descansar un poco. Ristorante Motorfano te está esperando - mejor reservar - y todo sabe maravilloso. Platos abundantes en oferta para el invierno, incluyendo caza, todo el mundo arropado.

5 stars are few given the location, the atmosphere and the good food.
A very simple restaurant but in a breathtaking location.
I've been for both lunch and dinner, I must say that on summer evenings it is truly magical.
Excellent food and friendly, polite staff.
