Ristorante Momento In Carpi

We had dinner at this restaurant for the first time and it was a wonderful discovery. Food with high quality raw materials and dishes that enhance the flavours. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Mediocre atmosphere and food, perhaps in summer the atmosphere in the internal courtyard is more pleasant. Friendly staff, but a stool for the ladies' bags was not offered. 23 minutes of waiting between starter and first course is too long. Catalan cream served in a first course with a huge quantity. Mango sorbet consisted of a huge tasteless ball of some sort of ice cream. Glass of wine with quantity much less than average and normal.

We celebrated a friend's birthday, it was the first time I heard about this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll start by saying that it was raining and surely with the nice weather outside it must be something else compared to the inside which is not bad but you want to compare it with the outdoor experience. the staff is kind and prepared the tables are modern and bare, I'm old-fashioned and at least a top would have been appreciated but I adapt. The food was well prepared, the raw fish were good a little less the tuna tartare, perhaps covered in too much soy sauce that doesn't make you understand the goodness of the red meat of the fish, for someone who comes from Trapani like me and chews on tuna, this noble fish should be served pure like the tables stripped of everything. The tagliolini with scampi were excellent and the squid was a spectacle both in the plating and in the flavors, this time the sauces accompanied it well. I can't express myself on the quality/quantity/price ratio because for obvious reasons I didn't pay but from the prices on the menu the prices seemed reasonable and in line with the quantity and quality offered. In short, a nice evening and a nice gastronomic discovery in the area.
