I went to Lo Colapasta and tried two first courses: trofie with pesto and trofie with shrimp and zucchini. What intrigued me most was the pesto pasta, served with green beans and potatoes: it was the first time I'd eaten it like this. I imagine it's a typical Genoese recipe, so it's worth trying even for those who aren't local. That said, I personally found it rather salty, perhaps a little too salty for my taste, though overall it remains a traditional dish. The trofie with shrimp and zucchini, on the other hand, were much better; I found it tasty and had more balanced flavors, making it decidedly more enjoyable to eat. The staff was also a positive note: they were friendly, kind, and helpful, helping make the experience more enjoyable. Prices are average for the area (€10 for the pesto and €12 for the shrimp dish, for a total of €22 for two), so overall, in line with the central location of Genoa.
