We were told about this restaurant because we were craving a nice boiled meat. The place is very nice, clean and inviting, the staff is kind and smiling. The boiled meat is good, but honestly I found some pieces tough and above all the portion was not up to par (the mashed potatoes were just under a spoonful). The saltiness was excellent and overall a good dish, but it didn't excite me as a whole. The desserts were amazing, the best zabaglione I've ever had. Overall it's a good restaurant, I would review the portions, but if that were to happen I would go back.

Spectacular restaurant. We dined here on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful meal (à la carte). The highlight is the bollito misto, but the fried frogs, brains, and tripe are also spectacular.

My husband and I dined at this wonderful restaurant last week. We'd already heard about Moderno's excellent boiled meats, but finally tasting them was truly a wonderful experience.
For starters, the veal with tuna sauce. I can say, without a doubt, it's the best I've ever had: perfectly pink, with a delicious and easily digestible sauce. And then, His Majesty, the boiled meats. Our favorite cuts were the tongue and the veal, both delicious, and the cotechino, melt-in-the-mouth soft. The sauces were also delicious; I recommend trying them all because they really give the dish an extra kick. Last but not least, the hazelnut cake accompanied by their homemade zabaglione: a truly delicious end to the dinner.
The wine list is very extensive. We chose an excellent Nebbiolo on the recommendation of the wait staff.
A welcoming atmosphere, with friendly waiters ready to accommodate every need.
We'll definitely be back! Truly satisfied.

Eight of us arrived and were immediately greeted with great warmth. We ate and drank very well: the dishes were prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, carefully presented, and impeccably flavorful. The waiter was extremely kind, professional, and attentive to our every need, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'd like to point out that I'm not writing this review because I was asked to, but simply because the quality of the service and hospitality deserves recognition. The only slight improvement is the reduced distance between tables, although that's entirely understandable given the restaurant's compact size. In any case, this detail didn't detract from the enjoyment of the evening. To top it all off, the (alleged) owner proved to be a truly friendly, affable, and very welcoming person, contributing to a pleasant, family-like atmosphere. Ultimately, this is a place we highly recommend to anyone looking for an evening of good food and a friendly atmosphere.

The last time, to get the glass of wine I'd ordered 20 minutes earlier, I had to search for the waiter and remind him of the order. The risotto turned out to be too salty, but it wasn't added to the bill at checkout. I recommend everyone try this restaurant, which I consider one of the best I frequent, despite some lapses in service that, all things considered, barely impact the culinary experience. Specifically, the traditional Piedmontese dishes are enhanced by the excellent chef's never-out-of-place additions.

It was the first time my partner and I decided to visit Carrù. After seeing the adverts online about this town famous for its boiled meats, we decided to book a restaurant, and I particularly liked this one. It was very welcoming, the staff were kind and helpful, and the food was truly delicious. A tip: get the set menu, where the chef chooses what to bring to your table.
