Private place, but at the same time welcoming and well looked after! Absolutely nothing to say about the food, fair and tasty portions. Trained and kind staff!

Good, but… Our experience with Materia Prima begins with the booking phone call; in which we anticipated that we would have a small dog with us and their response was to clarify their position and that is: in the event that the dog had not behaved appropriately they would have felt authorized to interrupt our stay on site and therefore dinner. In any case, we decide to go to dinner, certain that our dog's behavior could be up to par in any restaurant. At the entrance we were greeted with great courtesy by the dining room staff, who brought us the menu; which includes two tasting menus, however the dishes they include are not specified, but simply the number of courses. At this point, our thought was that of free choice of dishes, obviously when we proposed our idea of ​​a tasting experience to the dining room staff it was fully accepted but with some supplements, clearly they had an organizational imprint different from that of us proposal. We asked ourselves, why not make the tasting proposal explicit? Or simply explain which dishes you can choose from? The dishes served were excellent, a great experience. Perhaps I would improve the desserts, which despite being part of the non-pre-packaged tasting menu, we did not have the freedom to choose. The staff very professional, impeccable. The environment is very modern, with attention to detail. If I had to say that I felt at ease and welcomed, I wouldn't say it, I almost had the impression of having to be on the alert, probably also dictated by our prejudice regarding dog management.

What can I say SPECTACULAR 😍 AT THE BEGINNING I WAS REALLY SKEPTICAL BETWEEN THE PRICES AND FOOD ON THE PAPER... BUT WHEN I TASTED THE DISHES IT REALLY WAS WORTH IT TO SIT A LITTLE LONGER. AND THE PLACE IS VERY CLEANED, SOPHISTICATED TO THE TOP. THE OWNER IS VERY KIND AND VERY FRIENDLY. JUST ONE THING I'M A LITTLE chubby THE VERY FIRST TIME UJ A LITTLE MORE IN PORTIONS 🤣🤣🤣🙏 JOKING ALL FANTASTIC!!! VEAL TONGUE TOP SUPER STARTERS AND A FIRST COURSE WITH A PHENOMENAL TRUFFLE. I can't wait to go back in winter a view of the lake while you eat is uniquely magical!

We have recently visited this restaurant and we had such a great experience! The restaurant itself sits on a beautiful lake and the dinner atmosphere was very relaxing. Davide and his team are super prepared ,knowing and explaining every single dish and products to the roots, great wine selection with a deep focus on artisan wines. The food was just perfectly cooked, textures and finely balanced by the talented chef Gianmarco. I have to say : it’s the real deal in Castel Di Sangro!!!!!

Era da tempo che volevo provare questo ristorante gestito da un allievo di Niko Romito. Piatti tutti ottimamente eseguiti. Buonissimi in particolare il cosciotto d'anatra confit e l'agnello con crema di melanzane. Prezzo più che onesto se rapportato alla qualità delle materie prime e al lavoro di preparazione dietro ogni piatto (gel, polveri, salse, cotture a bassa temperatura, ecc). Infine c'è da dire che sicuramente si esce sazi, sfatando per l'ennesima volta il mito che nei ristoranti gourmet si mangi poco. Complimenti

Ottimo ristorante con pietanze originali e gustose,penso che a breve gli verrà’ riconosciuta una stella Michelin,prezzi non alla portata di tutti ma giustificati dalla qualità ed accostamenti indovinati. Location carina in quanto affaccia sul laghetto.
