The staff were courteous and the entire young team, both in the kitchen and the dining room, were professional. The chef combines culinary creativity with a thorough understanding of the ingredients. Each dish was a discovery of taste and smell. The location is certainly a stunning setting. Recommended for those passing through or working near the park...or simply wanting authentic dining without settling for simplicity but aiming higher.

I was in Castel di Sangro for a few days' vacation and had lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. The food was well-cooked, but the portions were very small. The service could be improved. Prices were moderately high.

I discovered this restaurant by searching online for the best places to eat around Roccaraso and I wasn't disappointed, so much so that I went back for dinner a second time in a few months even though I'm not from the area. Every dish made an impression on us, strong but perfectly harmonious flavors and perfect consistencies. Dishes that are apparently simple, without too many frills but truly special. The location is elegant and modern, at the same time welcoming and warm. Excellent wine list. It would be nice to go back for lunch to enjoy the terrace they have overlooking the lake. Fast and attentive service, the head waiter a little on his own, but that's okay. Highly recommended.

An elegant, modern, welcoming location. On the veranda, spectacular view of the lake, relaxing atmosphere. Attentive, fast, prepared, kind staff, impeccable service. Careful, classy plating. We tasted every single dish, well-defined and delicate flavors, the "plin" an enveloping taste. Very pleasant lunch. Everything is very well cared for and the quality of the dishes is absolutely excellent. Having lunch outside is also a pleasure for the eyes. Very attentive service. Recommended

Ristorante con standard alto. Sia il locale che il servizio sono frutto di un lavoro attento, cibo ottimo con una entrèe molto gradevole. Unica osservazione, a scopo costruttivo, abbiamo scelto dopo gli antipasti un primo ed un secondo, la carne, ottima, è stata servita tiepida , segno che i tempi di preparazione delle due diverse pietanze non erano stati correttamente coordinati

L'esperienza al ristorante Materia Prima è stata positiva. Abbiamo optato per il menù degustazione da 7 portate e devo dire che ne siamo usciti più che soddisfatti. Nomen omen mi verrebbe da dire, considerato che tutto quello che abbiamo mangiato rispecchia in toto la qualità dei prodotti. Se devo trovare qualcosa da dire è che il menù degustazione prevede in sequenza portate di terra e subito dopo di mare, cosa che potrebbe non essere gradita a tutti. Ad esempio, nel nostro caso, mangiato il baccalà, nella portata successiva ci è stato servita l'anatra. Forse andrebbe scelto di seguire o un percorso di "mare" o uno di terra, senza commistioni. È un dettaglio, trascurabile probabilmente, al netto del quale mi sento di consigliare vivamente questo ristorante.
