Ristorante Marinerei In Portovenere

I was very disappointed. I had already been to this place years ago where I had a good dinner, although unfortunately the price was excessive, but considering the location it was understandable. However, a few nights ago I went to dinner with friends and, apart from the service of two young men who were, I would say, disoriented and poorly prepared and unfriendly. We didn't find any first courses on the menu. We moved from appetizers to main courses. We had the appetizers, which were quite good, and someone had the second course. I personally had a tiramisu and as soon as I tasted it I had to leave it because it had definitely expired and had a terrible taste. The thing that makes the price excessive, however... You're basically paying for the air you breathe. I don't think I'll ever go there again.

Seafood cuisine that balances tradition and innovation, but without excess. Excellent, highly recommended. The raw scampi with dips and sliced salmon with a citrus sauce (a modified Gravelax) are top notch.

A wonderful discovery! You can arrive directly by boat from the small marina next to the restaurant. The owner is a delightful, cheerful, welcoming, and knowledgeable person. He took great care to explain the wines we ordered in a precise and friendly manner. The location is charming, simple, yet romantic when the lights of the houses surrounding the town come on. I recommend it to everyone!

We had dinner here for my husband's birthday. The food was good and the fish was fresh, but we sat down at 8:30 PM and the appetizers arrived at 9:30 PM, which I'd say was a bit too long, considering only one was a hot appetizer. Furthermore, they don't have a wine list, but they bring you 6 or 7 different bottles. The waiter (I think it was the owner) spent 10 minutes talking to you, explaining the wines, the names of their owners, and the altitude of the vines... I honestly would have appreciated more advice on pairings with the menu. I forgot everything after 3 minutes (or maybe less).

All in all good, the quality of the food is excellent, the owner is a nice gentleman who gave us very good advice on a wine to take, the waitress was professional and the service was excellent with a change of cutlery at each course. We had a good time.

Siamo stati accolti come se fossimo amici e clienti da sempre, anche se i titolari avrebbero avuto tutti i motivi per mandarci a quel paese, prenotato per undici ci siamo presentati in sette. La qualità del cibo è alta, tutto buono, ho trovato la miglior catalana che ho mai mangiato.
