ARTISTS' ZOO. The Macro is an excellent cultural space, but I didn't like these ateliers much. The idea of an artist working inside an air-conditioned glass cube seems to me to be something that lends itself to another type of reflection. Not the painter at the heart of creation, but the vision of a whole that makes us think of art as something that we want to cage and circumscribe. Not the artist who transforms the world but creation as a small mental and vital space in everyone's mind: the caged tiger does not own the territory. The meaning of these ateliers is therefore valid, but in a direction that is completely different from the one conceived, and it matters little if similar ideas also exist in Paris and elsewhere. The concept of the artist disturbed in his concentration who however receives vital stimuli is different, just as the idea of the painter who works in his back shop or who while painting welcomes buyers of his paintings into the laboratory, who perhaps do not see what he is working on, is different. True creation is a process in the dark. The birth of humanity requires its dark room, the 'great miracles' occur in hiding, so is the genesis of any creation.

Welcoming staff, very nice space. Unfortunately the artistic proposal can be improved and make better use of the environment.

if you want to feel something and go beyond your mind lobotomized by Chat GPT and the local guides below, come here, art should not be digested, it must resist otherwise what art is it

This is a magnificent space with lots of possibilities that is underused by the exhibits that are inside. Please consider making this a place where people would want to go: an ambient soundscape should have benches to lie down on to listen. A techno sound track should have a dance floor for people to dance.

The Macro was a very positive and stimulating experience in Rome. A relatively small museum, it is a fantastic place for contemporary art. A place to take a “break” from classical Italian art. I thought I would make a quick visit based on the reviews I had read before going, but I spent about 5 hours there (I didn’t have any more time). In short, for lovers and those curious about contemporary art, it is a must-see place in Rome.

It was an ok experience, but later when we came to another museum in Rome they told us that on the first Weeknd of the month all museums are free- so feel bad that same moment Macro changed us.....
