We stumbled upon this place by chance, located near our accommodation, invited by the exposed embers. As soon as we entered the owner made us sit as if we were family. On the advice of the owner we were able to try some fried meatballs which were out of this world. We then took some mixed skewers whose meat literally melted in your mouth. The prices seem high but the portions are really huge. The fresh chips were sublime. The added value was, without a doubt, the hospitality of the owners. They treated us like we were family, describing the dishes with love and passion. You can really see that they love doing what they do. Kindly offered by the house: an excellent limoncello. First evening in Puglia: if these are the premises, a fabulous stay awaits us.

You can like it, but you don't have to. It is always well attended. The portions were way too big for us and overpriced. The boss is confident in himself and his concept, but is very cordial.

Il voto reale sarebbe 2,5 perchè ad un'ottimo prodotto base (carne locale) si associa una preparazione non adeguata. La Cottura della carne, nel mio caso Spiedone, era mediocre, poco cotta e disuniforme per i tipi di carne. Servizio affabile ma molto spartano. Pur consapevole dei costi di una struttura ristorativa trovo i prezzi esagerati rispetto al locale, al servizio ed alla qualità finale del piatto. Piatanze abbondanti e proprietario simpatico salvano la serata.

A “different” kind of dinner; Salad Mista = just green lettuce & a 1/4 tomato, beer from a plastic cup: only the meat was okay plus totally exorbitant prices...
The conclusion is: never again!!!!

We ate very good local meat, the wine was also good, the owner is a butcher and also a good barbecue cook.
I would like to say that the price is very high, the meat is cooked to perfection, 55 euros per kg, he willingly cut us more than 1.2 kg, (for 2 people) we were unable to eat 2 pieces and he provided us with a takeaway box, the meat is like butter as the owner praises over and over again, very nice but the opposite of humility, however the meat is very fatty, very close to being a little nauseating.
I take the liberty of advising you not to insist on all customers to also order other things to eat, as obviously they will most likely not be able to eat what they ordered given that the meat is sold for 5.5 euros per hectogram and always results in abundant dishes.
Furthermore, in a nice place like yours you can't serve the meat on absorbent paper plates, which get holes and the sauce goes over and wets the paper tablecloth, the wine can't be served in a plastic glass unless you have something to manage a village festival, in my opinion it wouldn't take much to be a restaurant.

Had dinner on two consecutive evenings, excellent Monte Bianco meat with meat that melted in your mouth. Excellent quality/price. Well done Pasqualino.

What can I say, we passed there by chance but the scent of grilled meat inebriated us. We entered the restaurant, a little old but it has what you need to make you feel good. We ate very well from the typical Salento bowls to the skewers accompanied by excellent fried potatoes. Friendly staff make you feel at ease straight away. The piece is excellent like all the raw materials.
