Ristorante Lucano In Melfi

I had been missing for a few years but I was amazed to find the same welcome and cordiality. Vincenzo, the owner, is always available and courteous and always puts us at ease. The restaurant is clean and well organized. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. It is a restaurant that I recommend!

Prenoto questo posto all’ultimo secondo perché il viaggio di piacere si sposta con una tappa improvvisa su Melfi. Entriamo ci accomodiamo, nonostante qualche persona seduta in attesa un silenzio tombale …sembrava quasi di stare in un convento…ordiniamo servizio abbasta rapido…ma il proprietario molto gentile mi dice non mi aspettavo tutta questa gente io messo in ferie il cameriere…e si è divincolato tra sala e cucina. Buoni i salumi e formaggi…poco meno buoni i primi..molto insipidi nonostante i condimenti…mancavano un po’ di cose dal menu…alla fine un antipasto una patata alla cenere un primo con ragù e peperoni cruschi, un primo con strascinate salsiccia e funghi una bottiglia d’acqua e una Coca-Cola 49€. Tornarci non so…magari con un po’ di organizzazione in più, magari mettere un po’ di musica sottofondo,

Excellent typical trattoria with truly high quality local cuisine. Friendly and well-advising staff. Close to the center and easy to reach, absolutely recommended also for the very low prices

Quiet, relaxing place. The owner is a kind person. The waiter was truly exquisite. We ate an appetizer and pizza. All good, as if we were at home.

Quick lunch in Melfi. We tasted the Lucanian strascinati: satisfying portion, rustic flavor of sausage and tomato, truly excellent; good Aglianico braised meat. Starter like at home. Tasty homemade dessert. All good. Excellent prices. The very kind owner. Spartan but welcoming environment. Advised.

I stumbled upon it by chance, the place was closed but the owner gave me food anyway. He cooked just for me. The courtesy and kind and polite ways really struck me. I am truly grateful to him. The food was excellent and genuine. I will definitely go back.
