Pranzo domenicale con amici alle Giare a dir poco straordinario in qualità e quantità. Il titolare Vincenzo (per gli amici "Vicienzu u priatoriu") persona squisita, amichevole, scherzoso e soprattutto ironico! Si mangia come a casa della nonna! Antipasti vari e abbondanti dell'antica tradizione culinaria siciliana. I fritti tutti rigorosamente in olio d'oliva locale, asciutti e non impregnati! Dopo gli antipasti abbiamo chiesto il "time out" per rifiatare! Due primi tra cui uno, maccheroni al sugo di carne mista e locale eccezionali (ti mettono "ko"!), due secondi a base di carne e sei in coma! Il tutto accompagnato da vino rosso locale inebriante! Come disse il grande Paolo Panelli a Vittorio Gasmann nel film "Il Conte Tacchia" "....mangiare...(e aggiungo da Vincenzo)...è un vero piacere"!

Vincenzo makes you feel at home. He and his family are a healthy example of family-run catering.

We had lunch there. Incredibly delicious. Vincenzo and his wife, Marinella were incredible hosts and fantastic cooks. All of the food is from farm to table. Most of the food is grown locally on the farm of Vincenzo. It is all traditional food and is cooked with love. A very authentic Sicilian experience. we were made to feel like family. We will definitely go out of our way to return again.

Small family-run trattoria, with typical features that put you at ease, giving you warmth and security. I arrived at “Le giare” almost by chance. As soon as you arrive you immediately understand that you are in the right place, right from when Marco - while his mother-in-law is at the stove - offers you the mixed house starter and lists the dishes of the day which follow the seasonality. Dish after dish, course after course, the true flavor of tradition will arrive at your table, with attention to the smallest details and with a strong attention to the raw material. Let us advise you and you will be on the safe side, like I did. From vegetables to oil, from wine to hot bread: you will find yourself spoiled for choice between artichokes, peppers, local cured meats, broccoli, bruschetta, meatballs, eggs and cheese, fresh mushrooms and much more. Until we get to desserts and digestives. All seasoned with the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. Worth the visit, highly recommended.

Very, very hospitable family business!! The work is done with a typical Sicilian love of food. The ingredients are from the region and we look forward to eating here every evening after our day trips. Even though we are just tourists, we already have the feeling of belonging to the beautiful mountain village of Tusa. Thanks

Si mangia benissimo! La pizza è molto buona ma anche tutto il resto del menù, prezzi onesti! Personale molto accogliente e professionale, disponibile a consigliarti nella scelta e soprattutto in caso di intolleranze sono molto gentili nel farti sentire a tuo agio. Super consigliato!
