This is the second time I have had dinner and lunch at this restaurant. Opportunities that will be repeated. Whether they are various à la carte dishes or business lunches, the quality is high. Care in culinary preparation, elegant presentation, refined flavor combinations. Quality desserts and wines. Last but not least the level of service, the courteous friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Cozy place in the heart of the town of Morbegno in an attractive period building. A sure point of reference. Paid public parking not nearby, but a walk in the historic streets is pleasant. See you soon....

It was the first time we came to eat here, driven by the positive reviews and I admit that it was an excellent choice. We ate very well in a very fresh and quiet "garden". We were served with extreme kindness and care. In addition to the amazing sciat, the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms (which tasted like porcini mushrooms and that's not to be taken for granted) and the very tasty and tender tzigoiner, the must was the apple pie accompanied by a very tasty and high quality apple ice cream (it felt like biting into a freshly picked green apple). We will definitely be back to try your pizzoccheri and other dishes.

Vengo da Como, ho scoperto l'Ancora grazie a un tizio del posto che me lo ha indicato. Ci sono tornato apposta la settimana dopo, facendomi un giretto.
Beh dico che è valsa la pena farsi il viaggio di un'ora in macchina.
Pizzoccheri e sciatt come quelli cucinati qui me li posso solamente sognare. Almeno fino alla prossima visita. Che avverrà molto presto. Oh, sì. Molto presto.
Servizio del personale di sala molto accogliente, premuroso: è un po' come mangiare a casa di amici valtellinesi che ti eri dimenticato di avere e di andare a trovare, e non si spende nemmeno una cifra esagerata (anche se, quando si mangia così bene, si guarda poco al portafoglio).
Per quanto mi riguarda andare a visitare Morbegno e non fermarsi a pranzo o a cena qui è una pura bestemmia culinaria e meritate di rosolare nell'inferno dei fast food e delle stazioni di servizio.
Esigo di spostare l'accento da "Àncora" ad "ancòra": la parola che associo al sentimento che provo quando ripenso a questa cucina.
Cosa aspettate? Prenotate un tavolo, per la miseria!

I come from Como, I discovered Ancora thanks to a local guy who pointed it out to me. I went back there on purpose the following week, for a little stroll.
Well I say it was worth the hour-long drive.
I can only dream of pizzoccheri and sloppy pies like those cooked here. At least until the next visit. Which will happen very soon. Oh, yes. Very soon.
Very welcoming and attentive service from the dining room staff: it's a bit like eating at the home of friends from Valtellina that you forgot you had and were going to visit, and you don't even spend an exaggerated amount (even if, when you eat so well, you don't pay much attention to your wallet).
As far as I'm concerned, going to visit Morbegno and not stopping for lunch or dinner here is pure culinary blasphemy and you deserve to roast in the hell of fast food restaurants and petrol stations.
I demand to shift the emphasis from "Àncora" to "ancòra": the word I associate with the feeling I feel when I think about this kitchen.
What are you waiting for? Book a table, for God's sake!

Non c'è parcheggio,bisogna fare un centinaio di metri a piedi,comunque ne vale la pena.Ottimo locale,brave le cameriere,la scelta è tra 2 primi e 2 secondi.Ottimo il mio risotto alla Milanese,ottima anche la triglia.Un primo un secondo,acqua e caffè € 14,con caffè corretto € 14,50.Lo consiglio,meglio però prenotare.
