Ristorante Lago Maggiore is our go-to spot when we visit beautiful Stresa. If you want to eat well and save money, you can't go wrong here! Maria is a wonderful hostess, and the staff are incredibly friendly! It's our absolute must-visit! And...the location is perfect!

In the center of Stresa, a restaurant open for both lunch and dinner, where we stopped for lunch during our brief stay over the August bank holiday. They have a varied menu, featuring meat, seafood, and pizza. We didn't hesitate to try the fried calamari, tagliatelle with crispy pancetta and pistachio pesto—sublime—the pizza was delicious, and bruschetta with stracciatella and tomatoes was excellent... not to mention the staff, all very kind, helpful, and friendly, including the owner, who stopped to chat with us because he was impressed by my Emilian accent. If we really have to find a flaw, it's that it's too far from my home. I would gladly return 😉 I highly recommend it.

Food and service here were fantastic, highly recommend checking them out if you are in Stresa. There is a lovely courtyard to sit, and a really cool old well in the centre of the restaurant.

31/08/2025: The pizza dough was great, so I really enjoyed the pizza. There were a few too few ingredients on it, so the food was a bit too bread-heavy and not quite filling. The location by the lake is very nice. The service was nonexistent. Since we were primarily looking for a crispy pizza and wanted to leave quickly, this didn't bother us too much, so despite its obvious weaknesses, it was a good experience.
31/08/2025: The place is nice, great view and atmosphere. The staff is a bit clumsy, not particularly friendly but not rude either. The pizza is okay, the dough is good and tasty, but the toppings are really sparse. I think it definitely needs more ingredients on top.

25/08/2025: We dined here during the San Vito Fireworks celebrations, and were greeted with kindness and a smile, which is always a pleasure. The place was packed, but within half an hour, an excellent pizza arrived. You can tell the ingredients are top-quality. Superb organization and attention to detail. Kudos to Titti Ivo and the entire staff.
17/07/2025: We ate a delicious seafood paella, accompanied by a delicate sangria. Special thanks go to Andrea, who served us quickly, professionally, and with a warm smile. I recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the skill of the attentive and fast staff. We'll be back!
