Amazing food and wonderful views

The food was excellent, but the service was amazing. The best restaurant experience in Lake of Come. The view is also spectacular.

It was a disappointing end of our day in lovely Varenna. We walked all the way up to sit on the open veranda only to be told no as they were wet, although there were tents. We weren't even allowed to sit under the sheltered area as they weren't willing to add an extra chair to the table. The moment you sit, you feel obliged to order as they come with wine and starters complimentary from them. You think that is nice, but wait to see the cost of your food. Extremely over priced average food, average pasta, not so tasty fried fish, and water, which we thought was free as it came in an open glass bottle. Apart from the fact that the food takes long although try weren't even busy. The waitress got annoyed when we asked when will the food arrive. Portions are mini sized, presentation is great, but the amazement goes away once you have your first bite and you are hit with the familiar taste of every day average food. I still cannot process the amount we paid to end up going home hungry.

Rough staff , over priced food , small portions far from attractions.

Mixed lake appetizer: all the samples were truly delicious. First course: Perch risotto: very good flavor, although it lacked a little salt and the rice was a bit overcooked, but still a good dish. Tiramisu was good, but lacked the mascarpone cream. Courteous and friendly staff. The shuttle service by Piaggio Ape was really nice, taking us from the village to the restaurant. Very nice location, but it's a shame we couldn't use the veranda due to bad weather. I'll be back, hoping for a beautiful sunset. Prices are a bit high.

An excellent restaurant for fish dishes. A fantastic location overlooking Lake Como (with sunset behind the mountains in the evening). A romantic atmosphere is guaranteed on the terrace. Very friendly service is included.

The service and cuisine were exceptional. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with complimentary prosecco. Furthermore, the establishment offers stunning views. Our sincere appreciation extends to the staff for their professionalism.

This restaurant is located in a hard-to-reach area with no parking. They pick you up in a kind of motorbike cart. Too much hassle for the food they serve.

Repas pris en extérieur avec vue magnifique. Le service est au top, la générosité et la saveur des plats est parfaite. Nous nous sommes régalés du début à la fin. Le prosecco et le limoncello sont offerts. Ce restaurant coche toutes les cases pour passer un moment inoubliable dans ce cadre et cette ambiance agréable.

El vino blanco de la casa era excelente. Una inusual bolsa de panna cotta salada comenzó la comida, así como mantequilla compuesta de arándanos con panecillos. La ensalada mixta que siguió era sabrosa y bien aderezada, pero sorprendentemente pequeña en relación con otras ensaladas que nos han servido en todo el norte de Italia. La perca del lago era ligera y deliciosa, servida con el risotto tradicional en una porción generosa, al igual que el filete de carne de res de mi esposo y papas de romero. El servicio fue atento. Los precios de los alimentos y el vino estaban en el lado alto, incluso para Varenna. Apreciamos el limoncello de cortesía al final. Me decepcionó que cuando nos presentaron la factura, nuestro servidor nos informó puntualmente que el servicio no estaba incluido. Esto me dejó un mal sabor de boca. Hemos pasado mucho tiempo viajando por toda Italia durante muchos años y entendemos perfectamente las costumbres de propina. En general, la experiencia gastronómica fue buena, pero hemos tenido mejores comidas en otros lugares de Varenna y Bellano, a mejor precio.
