Very interesting This is a small museum that can be visited in less than two hours. Also €9 entry for an adult, it can seem quite expensive. That said, the collection, without being flamboyant, is very interesting. It gives a sample of Syracuse artistic life from the 6th to the 17th centuries. Some works, often anonymous, are exceptional.

There was no toilet paper. They told me there had been a mix-up. They asked me if I needed toilet paper. I told him that toilet paper is needed by the whole world. I told him that in the center public places like this are perhaps important so as not to make a shameful impression on the whole world who visits. It will be there tomorrow, they reassured me. No, I say, it will be there now because now I'm going to buy it and give it away as a gift. The one at the checkout looked at me cross-eyed and then they found these giant leaves to dry their hands. I say, how can you trust a cultural body when they can't think of the simplest human needs? What a shame really.

Just away from the duomo and main piazza. A lovely palazzo with a stunning courtyard and an art and antiquities collection to match. Well worth the entrance fee. Very few visitors when we went before midday. So special without the crowds.

Second visit in less than a week, and an equally good experience at la Locandiera under new management. My Caprese with burrata and the Parmigiana were fresh and tasty and excellent for a light lunch. My wife's Caponata di tonno and Paccheri allo spada were equally delicious for slightly more filling lunch. Service friendly and efficient. Well done!

After reading some of the reviews we are not sure we went to the same restaurant. It is February and it's quiet but the staff could not be any friendlier. We had the Caponata which was fabulous, my wife had Octopus and I had the tuna. All were excellent. We will be here for a week and will definitely return.

30/08/2024: Siamo stati in questo locale su consiglio di amici, per una cena in compagnia della famiglia. Eravamo in 8 e abbiamo ordinato ogni tipo di pietanza, dal pesce alla carne, passando per i primi. Davvero tutto ottimo. La frittura superlativa. Personale molto accogliente. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

ristorante pizzeria nazionale

27/08/2024: Ristorante molto semplice, nulla di che la location ma il cibo è molto buono. Abbiamo mangiato un'ottima frittura di pesce e un buon pesce spada grigliato. Buona anche la focaccia. Molto graditi anche i dessert: cannolo e tiramisù Nel complesso consigliato! Prezzi nella norma
