Wow! An inconspicuous roadside restaurant, nice and fast service, and the food! Local trout with zucchini slices, pork ribs with polenta…you have to try it! I highly recommend it.

We were here on a rainy Friday in August.
We, Crotto lovers, were craving a good plate of pizzoccheri, and we were pleasantly surprised.
Delicious pizzoccheri; a homemade recipe passed down from the family.
Fresh, quality ingredients justify the menu prices.
Highly recommended if you're passing through Bellano.

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. The staff, who were not very friendly at first, were actually attentive and smiling once we were seated. We had the specialty (pizzoccheri valtelinessi) for two. The dish resembles a French mountain dish (like tartiflette or croziflette) but it has its own specific, rather delicate flavor. Our daughters had the buckwheat pancakes, which were presented in an original way and were unanimously acclaimed. For dessert, the owner's homemade tiramisu was truly delicious, cooked differently than what we are used to seeing, with more flavor thanks to the light egg cream. A simple, clean place, where you can eat well, with a view of the lake through large windows.

First experience at this delightful restaurant. There's much to praise, but let's take it in order:
The staff was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable, especially in the wine selection.
The food was truly top-notch. I recommend the pizzoccheri, the rice with perch, and the Valtellina platter (a truly delicious sciatt and sweet and sour onion platter).
Finally, the atmosphere is refined, but not exclusive. I'd describe it as welcoming and well-designed.
We'll be back!!
