The ambiance is lovely, and the service is attentive. The pasta dishes are flavorful, but the dessert was a bit underwhelming. Overall, a solid choice for a nice evening out!

Awesome and amazing lunch for 3! With a sampling of 3 different types of high-end steaks: 1. Finnish Sashi (at $10.5 Euro per hg hectogram), 2. Australian Waygu (at $18 Euro per hg hectogram), and finally pièce de résistance, 3. Japanese Waygu (at $40 Euro per hg hectogram). around $602.02 USD. Basically, USD and Euro are 1-to-1.
1. How to enjoy the menu, and understand the choices.
1 hectogram (hg) = 100 grams
1 hectogram (hg) = 0.22 lbs
1 hectogram (hg) = 3.527 ounces (oz)
1 pound (lb) = 453.592 grams
1 pound (lb) = 16 ounces (oz)
So, basically you have many choices, but let's start with mine, and as a comparison let's list a touchstone pricing:
(**) Ribeye in USA is $13.99 USD per pound (lb) store bought. Here are the equivalents ($0.87 USD per oz, or $3.08 USD per hg).
(1) Finnish Sashi ITA listed at $10.5 Euro per hg (hectogram). That's $2.98 Euro per oz, or $47.62 Euro per lb.
(2) Australian Waygu ITA listed at $18 Euro per hg (hectogram). That’s $5.10 Euro per oz, or $81.65 Euro per lb.
(3) Japanese Waygu ITA listed at $40 Euro per hg (hectogram). That's $11.34 Euro per oz, or $181.44 Euro per lb.
2. When presented with the steaks: 1. Ask, "how much does it weigh?" (Quanto pesa?) 2. And, "How much does it cost?" (Quanto costa?)
3. When presented with the receipt, the numbers beside items on receipt represents the number ordered, however the number beside steak choice represents the # of hg (hectograms). Remember, 1 hg hectogram, is equivalent to 0.22 pounds lbs, or 3.5274 ounces oz.
4. Conclusion my finally bill was $551 Euros, with a final transaction showing $602.02 USD. Here’s the breakdown by line item:
(1) 1 Acqua Gassata (sparkling water) $3.50 Euro
(2) 3 x$3 Coperto Charge equaling $9 Euro total (non-negotiable standard charge for cutlery, napkin, tablecloth, and bread)
(3) 1 BICC - Sauvignon at $10 Euro. BICC or "bicchiere," which is Italian for "glass." On a receipt, "bicc" could be an abbreviated form of "bicchiere di vino" (glass of wine), indicating you were charged for wine by the glass rather than by the bottle. (So, usually there's 5x glasses in a bottle. So, have a pretty good idea what a bottle would cost, in this case $50 Euro/bottle).
(4) 13 Sashi Finlanda (13 hg of Finnish Steak (or 2.87 lbs or 45.85 oz) at $10.5 Euro per hg) = $136.50 Euros
(5) 14 Waygu AU\ES (14 hg of Australian Waygu (or 3.09 lbs or 49.39 oz) at $18 Euro per hg) = $252.00 Euros
(6) 3.5 Waygu Giaponese (3.5 hg of Japanese Waygu (or 0.77 lbs or 13.35 oz) at $40 Euro per hg) = $140.00 Euros
5. Initial receipt cost was: $551 Euros, with the Final cost: $602.02 USD shown transacted.
The added cost was approximately $51.02 USD (which means an added additional cost of 9.26%).
Enjoy Florence! And Yes, Florence, Italy, is renowned for its steaks, particularly the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a thick-cut T-bone steak from the Chianina breed of cattle, traditionally raised in Tuscany...
Guys will tend to like the less high fatty meats like Waygu, and steer towards typically a Finnish Sashi, a less fatty serving...
