We went for lunch on Sunday, booking a 12:00 pm slot. The place was packed (with tables practically packed together), but service was pretty quick. Everything was excellent.

Six of us arrived for lunch on Sunday at 1:15 PM and waited only 20 minutes for a table despite the long line of people waiting. I ordered three delicious Chiarina Florentine steaks (3.5 kg in total) and some side dishes; we skipped the appetizers and main courses so I could just enjoy the meat. It's worth coming here for a meal; the meat is genuinely grilled. Fast and courteous service.

La Cavallina Restaurant, just outside the Barberino toll booth, recommended for meat lovers, whether it's a rib-eye steak or Florentine steak. Interesting options for pairings with local wines. The first courses with ragù are also good, but the meat remains the star. Finish with cantucci and vin santo. Adequate and attentive service. The price will depend on the meat/wine pairing you choose; it's normal for a meat restaurant. Highly recommended.

19/01/2026: Beautiful place - it must be even more beautiful in the summer 😉 excellent food, welcoming and familiar atmosphere.
05/01/2026: Had Christmas dinner in the setting, with courteous and prompt service. The appetizers were excellent, the first courses unbalanced (gorgonzola was far too spicy and the Norcina-style sedanini lacked kick). The second courses were good, although the sliced ​​steak was perhaps a bit overcooked. Considering the undoubtedly chaotic and busy day, my overall rating is more than positive.
