The restaurant is located in the center of Castel di Sangro, a simple place with a classic menu based on meat and pasta.
The service is excellent and the owner is always very attentive and active between the tables.

Returning from Pescara with my wife headed to Benevento we stopped in Castel Di Sangro to eat a little something. After several trips in the car we decided to stop at the La Castellana restaurant and we immediately found ourselves at ease in the small but welcoming, family-run environment.
We had lunch only with a generous starter, excellent divided in two and for the second course, excellent white fettuccine with mushrooms, truffles and other things. My wife chose ravioli with sage, ricotta and other delicious things.
Very kind waiter, son of the cook who is also the owner.
Drinks 1/4 of red wine and a bottle of water and coffee.
Dessert: a delicious family-made tiramisu.
Price €23 per person

I went to this small family-run restaurant for the first time in the company of some friends. They made us sit outside and we ordered appetizers, mixed bruschetta (really good), a first course and several second courses. Everything excellent. Average prices. Friendly and welcoming staff.

A small restaurant, where we stopped by chance, the day we took the historic train tour of the 2 parks. It is the first restaurant encountered on the road that leads to the central square. We manage to find room for 3, and they also give us a seat for the baby. Small but welcoming environment, even if you sit a little cramped, there are additional seats outside in an outdoor area. Family run, friendly staff, they don't seem super organised, but they show passion. We waited a bit at the beginning with the menu and the order, and in the end we asked to speed up to be able to arrive in time for the guided tour appointment. The bruschettas in the starter are good, but the frying in the cod seems a bit heavy. The sausages and pappardelle with wild boar are good. The bread in the basket wasn't exactly fresh. Average prices. A decent family-run restaurant.

Ci siamo ritrovati qui poiché la nostra bimba era affamata e ci siamo accomodati, accoglienza un po’ freddina con il proprietario che sembrava un po’ infastidito da qualche capriccio che una bimba di due anni può fare, servizio decente con tempi normali ma eravamo soli, la pasta della bimba era purtroppo un po’ scotta ma arrosticini e antipasto buoni, hanno un menu abbastanza misero di scelta quindi abbiamo preferito non ordinare altro, posto onesto, niente di esaltante ma nemmeno un posto pessimo.

On Monday 5 August, traveling from Francavilla al mare towards Calabria, my wife and I, around 2pm, stopped for lunch in this family-run restaurant. We were immediately struck by the kindness and courtesy with which we were welcomed. Not to mention the food, coming from a very short supply chain which testifies to the authenticity and above all the flavours, which leave you with a trace of goodness that you will remember for a long time. In addition to an excellent quality/price ratio. What can I say, really good. If we ever go back there we will definitely return.

The food was good, nothing to say, but due to the fact that we entered the place despite having booked, we still have to say how many there were etc..., because they hadn't reserved a table for us, fortunately it was there, as soon as we sat down we were told how sit down because being small he couldn't get past the waiter, but the real icing on the cake was that we all wore Napoli shirts and we constantly felt eyes on us.
