Very positive experience, perfect welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent typical dishes of Piacenza cuisine, served without many frills. Typical tavern environment, genuine and dynamic, slightly noisy at certain times. Wine in a bowl. The only flaw is the services which are very sacrificed and not up to the standard of the place.

This is what the personal website of this restaurant says. And sure, the portions are not particularly generous (in the sense that they are the same as many other places that serve Piacenza dishes; neither too much nor too little), but he is right about one thing: here you feel at home. The rustic environment, in fact, together with the comfortable and inviting furnishings, make the experience in the tavern particularly intimate. The cold cuts platter is perfect for two people if the intention is not to arrive at the main course with a full stomach. The fried gnocco is much appreciated, as are the tortelli with tail. Only note for the version with porcini mushroom sauce; taken on its own, the mushroom didn't have a particularly strong flavor to make it distinguishable. The pasta, however, was perfectly al dente, as well as being a delight for the taste buds. It's a shame that the sbrisolona wasn't accompanied by the classic zabaglione, but the mascarpone also makes a good impression. It is also true, however, that its sweetness, combined with the pre-existing sweetness of the dry cake, risks becoming cloying, while the alcoholic part of the liqueur provides an effective contrast, which enhances the taste. But I say this more out of personal judgment than anything else. The slice of apricot tart, however, was really excellent; very soft and delicious together with fiordilatte ice cream. The prices are honest, considering that you are in the center of Piacenza. I understand the overcrowding even on a weekday, given that the offer for a business lunch is excellent. Once again, I am happy to be tempted by the locals who have already settled in this city for a long time, because, when things go well, the day is all earned.

Trattoria tipica piacentina con menù classico e prezzi medio bassi.
Anche la qualità delle portate non mi ha soddisfatto a pieno.
Discreto l'antipasto con 3 formaggi locali, salume non eccezionale, bortellina troppo bigiunta e gnocco fritto riscaldato.
Tortelli medi, chicche al gorgonzola molto buone.
Piccola e tartare di cavallo ok, così come la trippa.
Dolci rivedibili.
Personale di sala molto gentile, meno chi sta alla cassa.
Si può e si deve fare meglio per una trattoria storica di Piacenza.

Location bizzarra, accogliente, se non fosse per la temperatura un pochino fredda. Servizio misurato. Menù piacentino. Ottimo il gnocco fritto ed i tortelli. La Bortollina non mi è piaciuta. Così così anche i pisarei e fasoi non erano così golosi. Porzioni decise. Prezzi da usteria.
