Recommended by a local friend, simply delicious! We started with an endless mixed antipasto platter featuring local products, samples of cured meats, cheeses, meatballs, pork rolls, croquettes, and more. For our first course, we had tagliatelle with cod and crusco peppers, a highly recommended dish. For dessert, we had fried mezzelune (half-moons) filled with ricotta and cinnamon, simple and delicious. The waiter Mario was very friendly and approachable, and was always available throughout the meal. I also got to know the chef Giacomo, who recommended dishes for us to order; he was also very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy the view, this is the perfect spot. P.S. As for seating, I recommend the terrace, with a stunning view.

Anyone who finds themselves in Praia a Mare and the surrounding area cannot miss a dinner or lunch at the baita. A welcoming location with kind and helpful staff. The food is definitely excellent quality! We had hot and cold appetizers, ravioli and grilled caciocavallo cheese… Every bite was a delight! I can’t even rank what I liked the most to recommend it. The appetizers are all excellent and tasty and you can’t help but eat the ravioli: I’ve never eaten anything so good and light.

I was there on Sunday 15th June, I hadn't been there since 1994... what can I say... let's start with the location, it feels like being in a mountain chalet in the Alps, crisp air even if it's June, beautiful view of the valley... excellent service, but the best is the food, from the rich and delicious appetizers to continue with the first courses, second courses, side dishes, etc. then those ricotta sweets, the same ones from '94. It felt like I was going back in time. What can I say, a highly recommended place, I'll go back every time I'm in those parts. Congratulations to everyone👏👏

Ideal restaurant to escape the heat of Praia a Mare and really good. High quality products and km 0. We tried two dishes off the menu really delicious but I have no doubt that everything else is at the same level, given the attention and care of the owner and chef for more than thirty years Mr. Giacomo. I highly recommend trying this good and genuine cuisine.

An oasis of peace in the greenery of the Pollino park in Aieta, with superlative cuisine. We went for lunch today and found kindness, professionalism, good advice and a high quality menu. From appetizers to desserts, to first and second courses all different to try different flavors and all above expectations. A really nice surprise. We will return as soon as possible

After reading and seeing the photos of some reviews we went there for dinner and we were thrilled with the quality and goodness of the chef's proposals who guided us in our choice.
The hot appetizers are all special and tasty dishes that always change, the tagliatelle with chickpeas and the lamb are to be applauded. The desserts cooked at the moment ended an unforgettable dinner in style. Top service!

This evening a very pleasant discovery, the Ristorante la Baita. Intimate atmosphere, kind and attentive staff and the owner Mr. Giacomo an excellent host as well as being a chef who knows his stuff, in his dishes you can taste his land, the passion and love for his profession, raw materials of excellent quality with authentic flavors just like those of the past. We will definitely return to taste the desserts too (hoping there is a little space left) :)
