Good starters, but the real specialty of the place is the delicious pasta and chickpeas, even the second courses offered were quite good. Prices perhaps a little above average

We had the pleasure of having dinner last year in this restaurant on the recommendation of the Praia a Mare b&b where we were staying. We returned twice this year too because the memories were excellent. What can I say, everything is always excellent, the place is a perfect combination of the rustic style typical of mountain villages and the elegance of the best Italian restaurants. The owner, who is also a chef, welcomes you as if you were part of the family (he even remembered the period in which we were there), the guys are young but very professional. The cuisine is excellent, the products are of high quality and the prices are reasonable. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Giacomo and to Carmelo, Alessio and Beatrice.

Now every summer one or more visits to La Baita are part of the fixed programme.
The hospitality is extraordinary, you feel at home; the view is enchanting during the day and a terrace where you can enjoy the coolness of the hills (compared to the fiery climate of the coast) in the evening.
Traditional and home cooking. Authentic and true flavours.
The wine list is excellent. A marvel!

Fermata pranzo all'ingresso del Parco del Pollino. Locale simpatico, ci siamo accomodati nel dehors e abbiamo ordinato due primi che abbiamo molto gustato, preceduti dai peperoni cruschi, una scoperta gastronomica per noi. Prezzi ragionevoli.

Among home-made restaurants there is no doubt that this is an excellence. All the starters are delicious and plentiful, there are also good wine cellars. Precise service and very nice environment. Super recommended

Dimenticatevi cibi precotti o anche semplicemente acquistati al supermercato, qui vige la regola del "fatto a mano".
Antipasti eccezionali, salumi e formaggi a chilometro zero, ricotta, olive ed involtini di maiale nero di Calabria, polpette e fiori di zucca, già questo basterebbe per sentirsi soddisfatto, ma è con i primi piatti che Giacomo ci ridà la vera cucina calabrese, gnocchi con pancetta croccante e crema di zucca, fusilli al ragù, ravioli ripieni che sembrano arrivare dalla cucina delle nostre nonne... Eccezionali!
Ma per me, carnivoro convinto, è con i secondi che si raggiunge l'estasi, brasato di pancia di vitello, stinco di maialino nero al ginepro e patate e peperoni, per me la questione è definitivamente chiusa.
Promosso con lode e bacio accademico.
