we happened upon this restaurant by chance on the night of San Lorenzo and were immediately attracted by the prices and quality of the dishes displayed on the board outside the restaurant. Then we were welcomed by an extremely friendly, kind and helpful staff who also showed us the dishes off the menu and recommended their catch of the day, as they work only and exclusively on fresh (I would add that we have never tasted oysters so good). At the end of the meal we were also offered the opportunity to have a bitter and a coffee. Definitely a place we will return to.

We took the tasting menu and they immediately took us on a unique journey of flavours. Between very high quality wines and tasty local dishes we were very happy to eat here at Rubino. The owner Silvia, a woman who conveys her passion for her work and dedication in the dishes she creates. Impeccable service, courteous and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended for an evening discovering new flavors of Salento.

We had lunch today 16.09.24. Small but welcoming place just how we like it. We consumed the tasting menu which we appreciated for its authenticity: delicious dishes, excellent raw materials and prepared to perfection. Excellent service, trained and friendly staff. The owner was welcoming and very empathetic. We will perhaps return with friends for an outdoor aperitif. Thanks for the experience.

Small place with a limited number of seats which conveyed a sense of intimacy. We chose the tasting menu to be able to taste different dishes including 7 starters, 1 first course, 1 second course and 1 dessert. I liked the appetizers as well as the fried food. The price-quality ratio is in line considering the number of courses, the quality and the price. Just as the service times were consistent. What I didn't like was the tomato sauce used in the first courses: tasteless, which is a shame because it would have given more flavor to the dish. The three stars are mainly due to the fact that we mentioned our octopus allergy right from the time of booking, which was made clear to the waiter when ordering. To my surprise and disappointment I found octopus dishes served. I pointed out the situation at the time of payment and felt cheated when I was told that I had to communicate it first, we explained that we had already reported it previously without receiving any response. As far as I'm concerned, I perceived a lack of attention to the customer's needs as well as a lack of empathy.

We were really happy, all the dishes you served were truly excellent, the staff were courteous, the owner was very kind and attentive in making us remain satisfied, the room was small but welcoming, being on Corso di Gallipoli, a place that is worth stopping to taste excellent dishes of sea ​​and beyond....
