Very good food, varied menu. Reasonable prices.

Despite the almost constant crowds, they always made an effort to find us a table. The meat menu is excellent; I've never had the seafood menu. Fast service and very friendly staff. Always keep in mind.

We had a great time at Il Randagio, even though the large restaurant was packed when we arrived for lunch. The food is very home-cooked and doesn't overdo the appearance. For this type of restaurant, I don't find this a flaw at all; on the contrary, it's a real drawback. We had two starters: a very good lasagna Bolognese, thick and flavorful, and my girlfriend had pasta pasticciata, which she loved. For the main course, we shared a cotoletta alla Bolognese with a side of baked potatoes. We thought the portion size after the starters was ideal, allowing us to fully appreciate it without wasting anything, and we were able to finish the course without feeling full and heavy. For dessert, we had a tiramisu that was soft and sweet enough, without being overpoweringly coffee-based. I really appreciated the chocolate they used for dessert. My girlfriend had a zabaglione parfait, which she found a bit too alcoholic since she doesn't drink much; I felt it was strong enough, but not excessive. For drinks, we only had a bottle of water and a glass of San Giovese. We found the quality and quantity of the dishes perfect, and the bill of €58 is more than fair, especially considering the very quick service given that the large restaurant was packed. We left feeling full but not weighed down, and above all, satisfied with our lunch. We were also offered a limoncello and a small non-alcoholic drink, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely return on other occasions (especially for the tagliatelle). This restaurant is highly recommended, but book well in advance because it's always crowded. Thank you for the lunch and once again, my compliments to all the staff and the owner.

After a trip, we landed in Bologna and made an unexpected discovery: an unforgettable dish of pasta allo Scoglio (just look at the photos). Incredible goodness, flavor, and quantity, it was hard to go back for more.
